Someone Offered to Send Me USDT to Settle a Small Debt, So I Read the Contract... Posted: 04 Jul 2019 03:07 AM PDT I've been in crypto since early 2011, and I develop smart contracts. Not quite an OG, but I know what is going on. So when a friend offered to send me USDT I looked at the contract. An instant WTF. I had never used Tether before, so I didn't realize that Tether has a blacklist function and can arbitrarily steal your money whenever they feel like it or are pressured to. I am the 1% of crypto users in terms of knowledge and I didn't know, so I'm sure many others never considered this. Many who probably use Tether thinking it is like any other standard token. I can't say this enough to newcomers in this FOMO runup...Read the contract! If you don't understand it, don't complain when something bad happens to you. Everyone can understand what is going on with a little bit of effort. Besides CryptoZombies, I highly recommend Program the Blockchain, and Capture the Ether for learning solidity and smart contracts. [link] [comments]

How come this entire sub is raving about Nano yet their has been no movement Posted: 03 Jul 2019 07:00 PM PDT I really love Nano and truly think it's the future p2p coin and my portfolio represents that. I am not in crypto to get rich making a buck or two is nice but I truly would like to see shitty financial institutions have some real competition. Anyways Nano is great and everywhere I look people love it here, YouTube, Twitter, hell even the bitcoin subreddit of all places yet the price has been so stagnant. I have two theories as to what is happening.
2.Nano shills are a minority but are very loud Either or with such a small market cap relative to crypto and the general super positive vibes around Nano you would expect 3-5 percent daily growth especially in the crypto space where everything is extremely volatile. Nano is the last place I would have expected stability. Have a great day [link] [comments]
