    CDP Saver adds Compound support - generate cDai directly from a CDP or repay CDP debt from Compound supply

    CDP Saver has added support for the Compound protocol, meaning that you can now manage both your MakerDAO CDPs as well as Compound lending and borrowing portfolio in CDP Saver.

    We are also introducing direct interactions between Compound and MakerDAO CDPs, where you can:

    1 - draw cDai directly from your CDP, by generating Dai from a CDP and adding it straight to your Compound supply in one step;

    2 - repay your CDP debt directly with Compound borrowed Dai, by borrowing a set amount of Dai from Compound and using it to repay your CDP debt in one step.

    As mentioned, both of these features are available as one-step, one-transaction actions.

    The CDP Saver Compound dashboard is fully interoperable with the original Compound Dashboard, just as it is with MakerDAO's. You don't need to do any migrations or anything of sorts - you are free to switch between using either of the two at any point in time.

    Besides scalability, what are the biggest challenges Ethereum has to overcome to become mainstream?

    Say, if in the near future scalability becomes no longer an issue, (TPS and fees are at EOS or Tron levels but wit PoS instead of DPoS), what would the next step be for Ethereum?

    The first Layer 2 Community Call #1 was held on June 6, 2019

    After the GEO Protocol team organized the Layer 2 Meetup in New York this May during NY Blockchain Week, we realized that there was a need for the Layer 2 community to experience further development. We saw the need for bringing like-minded people together to share knowledge and ideas, as well as creating a workspace to accommodate that.

    That's why we came up with an initiative that we hope will start propelling the community in this direction. We've decided to organize monthly calls with Layer 2 project representatives as well as members of the scientific community in order to enable closer communication in the form of relevant issue discussion.

    The participants were:

    1. Dominik Schmid, Project Manager, Raiden Network
    2. Patrick McCorry, PISA Research, PhD, Assistant Professor at King's College London
    3. Pedro Moreno-Sanchez, PhD, a post-doctoral researcher at TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology)

    'Routing in state channel networks'.

    - Current approaches for routing algorithms: advantages and disadvantages.

    - Combinatorial explosion issue.

    - Source routing and alternative techniques.

    - Channel imbalances, how to balance the network fees.

    - Multi-hop routing security.
