    Bithomp launches a new service: BithompID - a username for your XRP address.

    For 10 XRP (Thank you for supporting the Bithomp project) you're getting a username assigned to your XRP address.

    • Old rippletrade usernames are reserved (you can't register them)

    • You'll be able to check your account by entering username in the search field on Bithomp

    • You will have a short link like https://bithomp.com/explorer/vbuterin

    • The username will be shown in transaction view on Bithomp explorer when someone send/receive a payment to/from you.

    • It's only possible to register a username for your own accounts you're in full control of. Don't try to register a username for your hosted accounts on Poloniex, Bitso etc.

    • API for usernames will be published soon on Bithomp.

    I love the XRP community. Sometimes it can be toxic when we're not in a sea of green (kind of like right now), but I still love the overall positivity and everyone's diligence as far as research is concerned. I have a couple favorites like Hodor and Galgitron, but would love to hear what the rest of the community has to say.

    What happens when all 100B XRP is released from escrow? Will this even happen?

    I was looking at circulating supply and had some questions. First off, is ripple selling 100s of millions OTC come from the escrow that they hold, or is it part of the supply already circulating? With 58B left in escrow and 1B a month being released, that would be about 4.8 years until all are circulating. Is that how it would work? Can the escrow amount released be decreased over time as we get closer to 100B? What would the ecosystem look like when/if all 100B are circulating. Thanks!
