ENS will be an enormous amount of influx of funding for development of Ethereum Posted: 12 May 2019 11:15 AM PDT I just spent some time on manager.ens.domains looking for a good address and my searches ended up with taken domains. Even when I started to put two short words together. It got to be a challenge and I started trying more odd words and still most stuff was taken. I don't know how many registered names there are, but at $5 per domain I think that will start to add up I'm thinking. Does anyone know how to check how many domains there are? My understanding is that the ENS income will be used for Ethereum projects in general, not just ENS. And this in turn will fund a lot of different and promising development. I for one can not wait for what will come from this incubator. I'd suggest using early funding to make ENS name use ubiquitous in all wallets which will increase the value of ENS even more. Posted: 12 May 2019 01:22 AM PDT Building on a decentralized service is becoming a liability-reducing activity for developers and companies alike, which means Ethereum is getting a big positive boost from the regulatory environment. "the particular trend of control becoming a liability is in a strange way even more pro-cypherpunk" Link: https://vitalik.ca/general/2019/05/09/control_as_liability.html [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 May 2019 08:46 PM PDT According to coinmarketcap there are 106,045,561 ETH is this the maximum now that ethereum is PoS or will there be more? And if so, what's the maximum? [link] [comments]
Help with executing a wallet contract transaction Posted: 12 May 2019 09:28 AM PDT I am trying to send some ether from one of my wallet contracts from within the My Crypto desktop wallet but I seem to be having some issues. The contract is a multisig wallet with 2 owners I have been following these step by step directions https://support.mycrypto.com/how-to/sending/how-to-interact-with-a-multisig-contract I am trying to send 1 eth from this contract 0xcfA0bcf8e84078F9e91cb041E7E870937865EaDB To this address 0x479Aa2882b136E2DB015227F55040510B5b66dd7 So I followed all of the directions in the above link, including the confirmation step. And nothing happened. Here is the link to the initial transaction https://etherscan.io/tx/0x40fbf6adcf0ff0a663cd4d836e227996c756b23bcf6dc07a39342435218f76ac And here is my confirmation transaction done with the second owner wallet https://etherscan.io/tx/0x7c5682df1831b40b9afcb370b2ddc59b275c70d92a68f6c81edea6013e424a1a After nothing happened initially after performing the first confirmation, I thought maybe I had to confirm with the first owner wallet even though the initial transaction originated from that wallet. Here is the second confirmation done with the other owner wallet (not sure if this step was necessary) https://etherscan.io/tx/0xb2f0f8cc515b5562b0010db14ea9371684b5f81c616a1db776369447b779a3fe So after doing all of this, the 1 eth I was trying to send still has not sent even though I have confirmed the transaction with both owner wallets. Any help would be greatly appreciated on what I might be doing wrong or if there is another step I am missing. Thanks! [link] [comments]

Question. Why would it be beneficial to accept crypto as a form of payment as small business owner? Posted: 11 May 2019 11:23 PM PDT I see small business start implementing crypto as a form of payment. But I don't understand why it would be a smart business decision considering the volatility of crypto as it is now. Help me understand. Edit: Use this Post as an example [link] [comments]

Man in the middle attacks possible with Software Wallets and Public Wifi? Posted: 11 May 2019 09:54 PM PDT I guess it would be technically possible to do a MITM Attack when using Trust Wallet in a Public Hotel Wifi and some guy is Sniffing via Wireshark? What you suggest except Hardwarewallets like Ledger and Trezor? [link] [comments] |
