Understanding why Craig Wright lies about being Satoshi

    Posted: 01 May 2019 09:14 PM PDT

Normal people can't comprehend why Craig keeps lying and some of them start to mistake confidence for the truth.

People like Craig lies because they have mental disorders that prevent them from feeling accountable, responsible, embarrassed and they lack the awareness of the consequences. They lie constantly because they are incapable of loving themselves so they need outside approvals from people surrounding them. It's a diagnosis for someone being either a narcissist or a narcissistic sociopath.

There are research that conclude these people repeat the same lie so much they start believing in these lies so the word delusional is completely appropriate here.

If you are one of the normal people that can't understand why just know that it's a mental illness. Many people say it's due to greed and for evading tax purposes, but a normal person wouldn't do that even for greed because normal people are mentally incapable of lying on such a scale. It requires literal brain damage to do such a thing.

Publicnote Bitcoin Treasure Hunt (.01337 BTC)

    Posted: 01 May 2019 06:03 PM PDT

Time for some crypto trivia! I placed 10 private keys placed into notes at publicnote.com. Each key holds 0.001337 BTC.

To find a private key, you must enter the correct title. Find it, and it's yours to keep.

There are 10 clues, but I will start with one three. Every time 10 new users comment in this thread, I will reveal a new clue. (This is done so the first person who sees the thread doesn't claim all prizes at once.)

To prove that this contest is real, each bitcoin address was generated using the title as the seed to a brainwallet, with "publicnote" as the salt. Solutions will be published after all coins are claimed. Solutions to any unsolved puzzles will be revealed after 48 hours.

Have fun, and if this is well received I'd be happy to do many more!

can the US government legally stop people from using Bitcoin as money? Wouldn't this be against freedom?

    Posted: 02 May 2019 01:12 AM PDT

I just want to understand this a little more going forward. As far as I understand it's up to us as we the people to decide what we want to use as money. No government can say " you are not allowed use bitcoin because we don't think it's really money" when the individual does think it's money than it is, because that's up to us to decide, not any government.

Is there anything in the constitution that protects this? Will we have any backbone to stand on and protest if need be if the government tries to say this is not money and you aren't allowed to use it?

I've tried speaking to some philosopher thinkers about bitcoin and honestly I'm dumbfounded with how illogical they truly are when it comes to the tech. Most of them can see how Bitcoin fits into liberalism although bitcoin fits in for everybody other than banks really. And most of them think Bitcoin has no chance to succeed because of the US government. But what can the US government really do? Isn't it up to us to decide what we use as money? I can straight up say I don't believe a dollar is a dollar anymore and I rather use bitcoin, can the US government actually stop me legally? Or can I fight it?

Auto send an email on receiving a payment

    Posted: 02 May 2019 12:18 AM PDT

I am selling videos for Bitcoin and using a payment gateway that sends me an email shortly after a confirmed payment. The email contains the email address of the buyer that just paid in the message body.

What is the best way for me to automatically do the following:

    • Trigger: receiving an email from the BTC payment gateway
    • Read / parse the buyer email address from the email body
    • Compose and send a new email containing a link to the file to the buyer

Note that I'm ok for the emails to be based on pre-defined templates, as long as I can intermittently update the file templates to change the URLs.

I am interested in options either on the cloud or Android. Preference is also to use gmail if possible, but if not I'd be open to using another email provider. A final option could be to write an application that polls a mail server, but that sounds like a lot of effort and would only run when the desktop app is open so isn't ideal.

Buy & Send Bitcoin - No ID

    Posted: 01 May 2019 09:59 PM PDT

    Hi,

Searching for a website where I can buy around $10 worth of bitcoin and then send it to an address. Must be no ID required since my passport is expired and I don't drive etc. Used to use Coincorner but since I tried using my bank instead of my debit card they requested documents and so can no longer use it as they blocked all features until I provide them even though I was no where near the ID threshold. Frustrating how difficult it is to just do a simple bitcoin payment. I'm in the UK.

So there's probably been 1000 posts about this but I recently got a TenX card and I freaking love it.

Literally paying for my lunch, all sorts of random shit with BitCoin so easily. I dunno why it feels weird and awesome but it does. This is what I hope the future is more like.
