Why I feel scammed by the TRX project

    Posted: 20 Apr 2019 03:14 AM PDT

In May 2018 I read about the upcoming mainnet swap of Tron, so I created an account on tron.network as instructed. On the account creation prcess I was provided a 2FA backup code which I wrote down, but no seed for my wallet. Found it fishy but since this was the only advertised way to take part in the mainnet swap I went for it. Then I got some TRX of IDEX exchange ( https://etherscan.io/tx/0xf9f119e59b2a1cd822a8d7cdd004378f388254df097bd5327b28cb78cf08812c ) and sent them to my tron.network wallet ( https://etherscan.io/tx/0xad575bb787f3b2d034f03ccbd8b706fd69fcc0d7c3605298309ecf8f0a6eb668 )

I am not a full time crypto trader, so in the bear market I decided to just leave my tokens where they are, in good faith I had done the only thing neccessary to get my tokens swapped.

2 weeks ago I wanted to transfer my TRX to my Scatter wallet when I noticed a message on tron.network giving a deadline to withdraw my TRX until December 2018. This deadline clearly being over I wrote an email to[withdraw@tron.network](mailto:withdraw@tron.network) as instructed in that same message mentioned above. I have not gotten any answer to this email until today.

I went into Trons telegram channel and got some support by a nice guy named Andrew. He said there was a problem on their side but they should be able to track it down when I find the original TXs (which I did). After 2 days I was told there is nothing they can do and suddenly it should have been my fault because I missed the mainnet swap deadline. My argument that I didn't miss it as being proved by my TXs remains unanswered for over 2 days now.

So here I am, being locked out of my TRX. I feel scammed because I took actions for the mainnet swap thinking I was safe after that. How many times will Tron set deadlines where you can loose your tokens? Gives me a bad feeling for the future of the project.

The story of my first Bitcoin. Hopefully others can learn from my mistake.

    Posted: 19 Apr 2019 07:18 PM PDT

My brother had told me all about this new type of internet money that no one entity controlled, it intrigued me. I had decided to cash in the change I had been collecting for the past year to I buy my first bitcoin at 740 Canadian (Late 2013 I believe). Saw it rise to over 1000 USD then Mt.Gox happened.. Ofc it nose dived, to 200 USD and for about 2 years did nothing. Then it started to go off again and it hit around 1000 USD again.. I decided I would sell out of .7 of it to buy CSGO skins hahaha (digital goods) this was early 2017. I had to watch bitcoin triumphantly rise to 20k thinking what have I done!! I held this thing for years!! Don't make the same mistake I did. Our previous ATH will be crushed just like every past one. I thought I would never be able to buy another bitcoin but I was blessed with this bear market. I took it as an opportunity to rewrite my past mistake. Hodl strong my friends!

What niches in the crypto world are worth diversifying into when the next bull run comes?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2019 02:14 AM PDT

Hi everyone, just doing some thinking and positioning for when the bull market comes back eventually... I made this list but was wondering if there are any major niches/categories I'm missing?

    1. Cryptocurrencies (BTC, LTC, etc.)
    2. DAGs (NANO, IOTA, etc.)
    3. Privacy (XMR, ZEC, etc.)
    4. Smart contracts (ETH, EOS, VET, etc.)
    5. Exchanges (BNB, KCS, etc.)
    6. Gaming (ENJ, etc.)
    7. Decentralized Finance (REP, KNC, ZRX, etc.)

Dream/Wallstreet Market have exit scammed taking nearly $40 million in BTC and uknown amounts of XMR.

    Posted: 19 Apr 2019 01:13 PM PDT

Two of the biggest existing dark net markets around are now exiting the scene it seems.

The FBI announced they had infiltrated markets just the other day and now both sites are stopping withdrawals and moving funds.

Dream/Wallstreet Market have exit scammed taking nearly $40 million in BTC and uknown amounts of XMR.

Here one of the WSM wallets with coins being moved from escrow wallets into a single wallet which will likely be tumbled or anonymozed in another way.

The markets have taken down their forums, but left the sites up for deposits. Dream indicates it is moving but moderators have been seen asking for passwords before the finaly hault to drain the vendor accounts.

Not sure how this will affect BTC or XMR price, or if it will at all.... but it's a huge blow to the dark net economy. I'm sure this will start popping up on the Crypto news sites soon.

Crypto ABCs - "A" is for "Airdroppings"

    Posted: 20 Apr 2019 03:28 AM PDT

Welcome to the first in a series from the Tokenomicon™️ entitled Crypto ABCs!

The first post means the first letter is "A" and the word is

    airdroppings

    /ˈerˌdräpiNGz/

    noun

unsightly mounds of sh*tcoins which accumulate on various blockchains (especially bad on the Ethereum network). Most reported sightings are in the "token" drop-down on Etherscan. Evidence suggests they are strongly attracted to crypto that has actual value. All attempts to stop them have proven futile.

Victims of airdroppings typically find it to be more cost effective to send them to a burn address as opposed to actually selling them.
