This sports team mentality to coins will be the reason investors here miss out on all the opportunities this market is creating. It's like saying I will never invest in amazon because google is king.

    Posted: 12 Apr 2019 03:31 PM PDT

It's also putting all your eggs in one basket. You think the boys at wallstreet play emotionally with their investments like this? What I'm seeing here is equivalent of seeing someone say they'll never buy Amazon stock because Google/Alphabet is king. It's just ridiculous and makes me sad to see everyone here miss out on gains because they're too busy cheering on their one team. They're equivalent to the people who shit on bitcoin because they think they missed the boat, except they shit on decent alt coins because they think they missed the boat on them, and somehow thinking the alts are just worthless will make them feel better for continuing to miss said boat.

Binance Research Report: Investigating Cryptoasset Cycles | "The data may support the notion that the cryptomarket has already bottomed out."

    Posted: 13 Apr 2019 01:06 AM PDT

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • Price co-movement of cryptoassets is quite high; the nascency of the cryptoasset market and the weak pricing ability of its participants has likely contributed to this phenomenon.
    • An estimated 7% of the cryptoassets are held by institutional investors, which is almost one-thirteenth of the institutional holdings proportion for the U.S. stock market.
    • Higher turnover rates for cryptoassets (five times higher than that of the U.S. stock market) indicate that participants in the crypto asset industry could be more active or reactionary than in traditional markets.
    • However, the "UTXO/Realized Cap" metric suggests that crypto-investors tend to "HODL" as prices drop, only becoming more active when prices recover.
    • Extreme internal correlation among coins is often accompanied by a price "inflection point".
    • Having emerged from a period of the highest internal correlations in crypto history, the data may support the notion that the cryptomarket has already bottomed out.

Nanex is shutting down and I'd like to donate the fractions of Nano I have there to a good cause like Venezuela. How best do this?

    Posted: 13 Apr 2019 02:25 AM PDT

As I recall there were some good causes that were using Nano and it went a long way in some countries. Are there any verified good-cause addresses that I (and others) could send our Nano (or other?) fragments to? I (we) would need proof that a wallet address is legit.

    Launch your Own STO!!!

    Posted: 13 Apr 2019 03:54 AM PDT

Though the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has regarded the use of utility tokens as a dicey situation leading to unregistered broker-dealer situations, the hype encompassing security tokens has not reduced.

The security token market is transforming at the pace of lightning. However, it is still in its days of infancy. Besides, there are many ambiguous areas when we consider the market for token buyers as well as the business model adopted by startups today. Not to mention that entrepreneurs are also wanting to raise assets through regulated blockchain.

The entire process of setting up a Security Token Offering (STO) is confined to two major types of tokens:

    • Utility Tokens

These type of tokens are not investments and do not give token holders any rights or stake in a company. Simply put, utility tokens represent future access to the products and services of a company.

    • Security Tokens

Security tokens are different from utility tokens in the way that they are a manifestation of the company's stock shares. They are supported externally by tradeable assets which empower investors by giving them more authority.

Having understood the different types of tokens, let us explore in detail about the various benefits of Security Token Offering.

    • More Compliance as it can be hard-coded
    • Fractional ownership
    • Attracting new investors at a global level
    • Better flexibility and scalability for business owners
    • Low barrier for entry

If you want to start your STO, launch your own STO with Blockchain App Factory. We can provide you with a cutting-edge security token platform. Our team of developers can offer you a wide range of STO Launch services from creating smart contracts and token issuance platforms to regular code maintenance.
