Found a 1950s reference to “bitcoin”

    Posted: 06 Apr 2019 08:03 PM PDT

Sup guys, I browse newspapers.com pretty often. Today I thought I'd have a look for bitcoin and found this old reference to a "bit-coin" from 1950, but obviously having nothing to do with satoshi's creation. A couple of quotes do provide some intriguing foreshadowing though.

"While it is logical enough to create a bit-coin, one can't help feeling that it would do things to the consumer"

"The new coinage would have a certain convenience but it would present temptations"

CryptoCurrency exchanges have become worse than banks, they are the definition of the financial institutions which cryptocurrency was original invented to overcome (refer to Bitcoin white paper if you don't agree). How has this happened? ....the irony..

    Posted: 06 Apr 2019 05:17 PM PDT

I just need to vent how ironic it is the way that government KYC/AML regulations aggressively enforced by government regulators has turned cryptocurrency inside out and made it a hypocrisy of itself.

If you read the bitcoin white paper, even just the first few paragraphs...and then you go try to use bitcoin or any cryptocurrency in the real world...it has become even more restricted than moving money through banks.

Electronic cash, my butt. Is anyone able to use crypto these days without verifying ID and selfie?

Enjin Wallet integration with Samsung expands to Binance Chain. What does this mean?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2019 06:31 PM PDT

We learned a lot about Enjin in the recent Binance hosted AMA session. A lot of exciting things were discussed like the upcoming ERC 1155 token marketplace expected to be opening soon (there is already a Telegram channel you can buy/seel/trade on). But the most exciting bit of information that was revealed was about the Enjin Wallet is that they are working on integrating Binance Chain into the wallet! This news paired with the Samsung partnership and the Galaxy S10 phone which can function similar to a Tezor or Nano Ledger is a game changer. I am so excited to store my crypto on my S10 and be able to trade it without moving it! This removes the risk of storing your coins on an exchange, and provides a really cool way to hold your crypto with you. This new feature on top of the Beam technology that the wallet has so much potential, the future for Enjin is bright. I'm sorry for the format of this post, I do not post very often but this news is fantastic and I wanted to share!

    Other things to note:

So I am very excited about this as an old school gamer. If we can own our digital assets on the Enjin Wallet and have access to these resources, it means a whole lot to the individual gamer. Forget selling your least needed items to the armor vendor, melt those suckers and move the Enjin to your wallet, then do whatever the heck you want with it! I can only imagine if all the items I had owned during my times playing World of Warcraft being able to be melted into Enjin coin, how much value it would have. As soon as some developer creates a top tier game using this platform, we can expect more developers to come on board and adoption by gamers to significantly increase.
