What should we call the next privacy protocol?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2019 07:32 PM PDT

The next tool we're building is a consolidation type shuffle. Although it will work very differently than CashShuffle and technically its therefore not CashShuffle.

    (we've updated this):

    https://gist.github.com/fyookball/3e0307a526182a85bdfe64a1e09bb09d

We can get a better name than STAT. Picture it as a tool that pairs with CashShuffle... Like "Yeah i love Bitcoin Cash cause its got CashShuffle and ____________"

Adam Back is likely pooping his pants right now, he knows he will get KTFO if he gets in a ring with Peter Rizun.

No need to even mention "opening a tab with your local business". <popcorn.gif>

All the blocks mined by this 'unknown' miner on the #BCH network have a coinbase text of 'satoshi nakamoto'. And for the past week so so it has accounted for +35% of the entire BCH hashrate. Is no one paying attention to this? #hashwar2 ?

    The birth of Satoshi House

    Posted: 28 Apr 2019 09:58 PM PDT

Many people asked me how and why I got into Bitcoin and started Satoshi House. So I thought I would write a short story about. It ended up with three short stories. I hope you like them. Let me know what you think and share your story.

SLP Agora is really taking off after just one day, 45 open trades, 51 closed ones! Of those of you that used it, what are your greatest issues with it so far?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2019 01:58 PM PDT

Things that come to my mind:

    • Also list unconfirmed trades
    • Prevent asking for below dust amounts of BCH
    • Canceling trades
    • Filtering trades by token
    • Show historic trades
    • Accept a trade partially
    • JS library
    • Web interface
    • Price charts

What do you think would be great to have?

Edit: I'll just leave this address here, I'd appreciate any help: [bitcoincash:qqm7h6gr3ys5h6g7ag50267c6edw6tpf4q6endgxn8](bitcoincash:qqm7h6gr3ys5h6g7ag50267c6edw6tpf4q6endgxn8)

Will Schnorr signatures change the UTXO storage format?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2019 01:24 AM PDT

    Hello,

I am the developer of an ERC20 token that is airdropping to Bitcoin Cash holders and I am wondering if the UTXO storage format will be changed with Schnorr signatures. Currently I use a Python script to export BCH UTXOs from my full node in order to do a trustless and verifiable airdrop through message signatures in my Solidity contract code.

However if Schnorr signatures are going to change the UTXO storage format then my script will break and I either need to take my snapshot before the update or change my script to support the new format. Appreciate any official information by an ABC developer!

If you want to checkout my project for the airdrop to BCH holders its called Cereneum.

Trying to convince core to increase the block size limit is undermining BCH (please read)

    Posted: 28 Apr 2019 08:26 AM PDT

The mere act of trying to convince them, itself, is undermining BCH.

Someone recently and quite rightly said, in reply to a thread on r/btc , "never interrupt your enemy while they are making a mistake".

As old school bitcoiners, we are also investors. We are always trying to discern where our capital should be. That was what was so disconcerting and frightening about the split between bitcoin and bitcoin cash (and potentially the s2k fork) Most of us were maximalists for this reason, where is the safest place to hold our capital? I believe this is why debate is so vitriolic. People are always doubting their decisions and fearing that they are going to lose. People need to convince others to convince themselves that they have made the right decision.

While most don't believe that core and blockstream are dishonest, the way things have played out perfectly fits with the actions of a group that are trying to sabotage bitcoin. We must judge them by their deeds.

If core even hints at a block size increase, this could damage the market for bitcoin cash and cause a sell-off. Now consider that they bait and switch us again like the hong kong agreement. They have proven they have no qualms about this. They say there will be an increase to 8 or 16mb and the BCH all but collapses, then they renege.

I did find it interesting that Peter Rizun has more money in BTC than BCH, and now is doing a very good job of convincing a lot of BTC fans that there is a problem with their road map. Even Roger wants this debate with Adam Back and is prepared to pay. I'm not criticizing Peter, he is one of our greatest assets.

Well shit, maybe I need to lighten the fuck up on my BCH holdings! Clearly, BCH is not a serious operation and is just some sort of pressure group. To be honest, I don't want to buy BTC, either I can believe in BCH or I'm out. There is no fixing the BTC community.

Forget BTC, focus on BCH. Let's not re-marry the people working against worldwide money. The situation we have is ideal, Adam Back and crew are no longer our problem.

“Hey Peter, the way you frame this “debate”, & the call for “truce” between “small and big blocks” makes it sound like an ideological discussion not a technical one. But in reality it’s purely technical & it’s a debate in which Blockstream and Core will 100% lose @PeterMcCormack.”

If we want Bitcoin Cash to succeed, we must commit to the success of Bitcoin Cash. If you want to convince others, you must first convince yourself. Otherwise this is the response you'll get.
