[SURVEY] [FEEDBACK] How do you often read crypto-related contents?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2019 07:19 AM PST

I made an aggregator for crypto social news and opinions from enthusiasts from Twitter, Reddit, Tradingview. I want to survey you guys to know the types of news that you guys often read, so I can categorize them better and improve your experience.

The site currently has these categories:

    • Highlight from CEOs
    • Recent Tweets from Top Cryptos
    • Trending Topic
    • Discussion
    • Crypto social stats
    • Top retweeted KOL
    • Announcements from Companies
    • Market Opinions

I want to know your cup of tea for crypto contents, like whether you like to read analyses or charts, or do you prefer CEO highlights and famous people's tweets, and I would love to know what you hate as well.

Hope I can get a feedback from you. If youd like to check out what im working on, you can visit coinwhalenews.com. No login or anything required. If you just want to see a screenshot and worry about scam, here's an imgur link: https://imgur.com/a/LfjijNX

Thanks for your comments, I could send you a beer to feedbackers if you'd allow me to xD

Did anyone successfully deployed a 2-way peg sidechain on a LTC|BTC - testnet?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2019 12:17 PM PST

Are there any detailed examples / docs out there?. I went through some descriptions from the elementsproject but actually I am not feeling that I can start a project from scratch with that info.

Are there any proves that it can be deployed successfully without losing the security benefits of the main chain? For example ( Consensus, Forks, reorgs, .... ) as I know there a few mathematical problems to solve.

If you have some infos, please point me in the right direction.

    Litecoin addresses in Electrum

    Posted: 01 Mar 2019 10:43 AM PST

I put fiat money into exchange, traded for litecoins, and wish to withdraw into desktop wallet Electrum v. 3.3.4.1

The exchange said my address generated by electrum was invalid. It creates addresses like:

    1. ltc1q55s9gjdtdhm3s5su7u4skvga6lecmmxkgg44tk
    2. ltc1qr7zceqqwdpp0gper4cycrnqvhapqslzpxv5zdf

However other litecoin addresses look like:

    • LUhFME3KtiVeL3mNWMUmUFCcEtA7tsPWSD
    • LMNNU4imch61Z5wvHA7PxdJybtR2JGjfe8

This is ~9 less characters and doesn't start with "ltc1". If choosing "Legacy" (not segwit) in Electrum when creating the wallet it gives valid-looking addresses, like "LL2uku2m3TTZtLFGHMsZndEaVDz7aangHi". So at first I would guess the "ltc1..." addresses are segwit, however other places I read that new segwit addresses should start with "M" or "3" (source: https://cryptofacilities.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006040974-Litecoin-Address-Format) and not "ltc1". So what is this and is the litecoin electrum a scam/hack?
