Craig Wright may be under criminal investigation by the Australian Tax Office

    Posted: 30 Mar 2019 05:12 PM PDT

According to a recently filed court document in the Kleiman-Wright case, it appears that Craig Wright is (or was) under criminal investigation by the ATO.

Here's how Ira Kleiman's lawyer put it:

The plaintiffs [Ira Kleiman and family] were contacted by the Australian tax office in their criminal investigations unit to find out whether there was information we had that they were looking for. Evidently they are investigating a criminal action.

Another tidbit of note is that Craig is going to be deposed (asked questions under oath by Kleiman's lawyers) this coming Thursday, April 4. Here's hoping it eventually gets filed (and therefore becomes public record).

(Craig's also accused of perjury again in that document!)

    On-going attack against ElectrumX servers

    Posted: 31 Mar 2019 01:37 AM PDT

During the night, I noticed a sudden influx of sessions towards my ElectrumX server. Client count was above 1.000.

Also, many new peers (other servers) coming from IP's:

    192.95.57.197 173.44.42.130

    With hostnames similar to:

    Manila.electrumupdate.org li.myblocknode.com 8bch.codenodebox.com ...

These .onion peers also use the same SSL certificate as the above hosts:

    gb53gznkmmzx3e6a.onion 7aclc6dnv2oe74jg.onion gb4igdsqreylpizm.onion

When I woke up this morning, I want to check up on things, and my ElectrumX server couldn't serve a client connection to me.

It seems like someone is trying to kick off "valid" ElectrumX servers by exhausting connections, and to replace them with their own servers. Many previously working ElectrumX servers are no longer connectable.

Keep an eye on your ElectrumX servers.

Ross Ulbricht has served 6 years in federal prison.

    Posted: 30 Mar 2019 03:32 AM PDT

    Key Facts:

    1. The 2 lead federal investigators of Ross Ulbricht are serving a combined 16 1/2 years in federal prison for crimes committed during and after the investigation of the Silk Road.

    2. The corrupt actions of the federal agents were kept out of Ross' trial and appeals.

    3. Ross has no appeals left. Without clemency, he will die in prison.

    4. Both federal agents were re-arrested after their their arrest and conviction. One, after his plea, stole millions in bitcoin from the US Government. The other was arrested for attempting to flee the country.

    5. One federal judge told the corrupt Secret Service agent that his actions were a "betrayal of trust" and "among the worst of crimes". He was the US Government's top expert on the anonymity protocol Tor. The other agent worked for the DEA.

    6. The founder of Silk Road 2.0, a former SpaceX employee, was not prosecuted for his crimes.

    7. Ross is a non-violent first-time offender. He holds a degree in physics and studied material sciences and engineering in a Masters program. He is best described as an idealistic naive hippie who launched a libertarian free market.

    8. The younger generation views Ross' case with overwhelming support. Clemency could garner and galvanize support for Republicans in the tech world which ideally could lead to more open access for conservatives in Silicon Valley companies.
    9. Ross isn't likely to re-offend. He currently teaches yoga in prison.
    10. It is simply the right thing to do.

Up to date guide to splitting and selling your BSV

    Posted: 30 Mar 2019 02:46 PM PDT

Here is how to do it:

    1. Install Electron Cash.
    2. Electron Cash does not support following the BSV chain anymore so install another wallet such as Atomic wallet.
    3. Send BCH to a new address using Electron Cash. It "time locks" all transactions with the current block height and BSV is lagging about 100 blocks so it will not move right away on the BSV chain.
    4. Import key into Atomic wallet as a BSV key. (within ~10 hours of step 3)
    5. Sell BSV on changenow.io (no registration, limits, KYC/AML, etc.).

The low capacity BTC chain hasn’t been able to clear its mempool since the 26th. If Veriblock has a viable model then BTC transaction fees will continue to ratchet up, pricing out almost every other use case.

How do I get BSV coin from my BCH so I can sell it?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2019 11:57 AM PDT

I have some BCH pre-fork. How do I get the BSV from them? I'd like to get the BSV, sell that junk and buy more BCH.

    Thanks

Edit: This is 40 steps and I don't understand what the hell they are doing. No way I'm going to be able to follow this.

    BitDB for BCH?

BitDB is very useful to access the blockchain, but now I think it only supports BSV. Is there any alternative for BCH?

Why we shouldn't take the "denial of Satoshi" lawsuit threats as real without evidence

    Posted: 30 Mar 2019 09:43 AM PDT

I just got blocked on Twitter by notorious Core troll MrHodl after I pressed him on his claim that he had received reports of people receiving legal notices through Twitter DMs (!) about this.

I asked him to "Proof or GTFO", and he literally chose the GTFO option.

I've not seen evidence of such a legal notice being real.

Have you? I would like to know / see it. It doesn't matter if you are a Core supporter or BCH supporter or non-partisan.

If you get sued about this shit, there are people who care. Publicise it. Tweet about it.

The community will unite against such intimidation.

Now that this has been said - Until I see real evidence, I believe there is a strong possibility that this lawsuit threat is basically a psy-op.

People may claim to have received such notices to bolster CSW's credibility. They may all fail to provide real evidence that there is any real legal action.

At that point this all turns into a PR exercise, a psychological operation against the public to bully them into believing that CSW is Satoshi, because after all, he appears to be willing to go to court over the matter.

Let us NOT be intimidated, but stand together and inspect the evidence.

I'd love to be wrong and have that clown try to prove himself in court, but there is something very fishy about how this is being rolled out, with dramatic announcements by Dan Darkpill and MrHodl.

Remember Greg Maxwell offering his support to CSW? I do.

Will different Cash Shuffle Wallet implementations use the same Shuffle Servers? (+comment on Shuffle Logo)

    Posted: 30 Mar 2019 09:40 AM PDT

Just curious if it's possible or if there will be any benefit for different Cash Shuffle Wallets to use the same shuffle servers? This could increase liquidity and pool shuffle speed if possible, eh?

    .

Also, regarding the Cash Shuffle Logo. I've seen quite a few people mistake the logo for being a tennis shoe. ;) When the icon becomes smaller it loses it's definition and the general shape resembles a tennis shoe if you're unfamiliar with it.

Changing the logo to Green may help or other minor tweaks with the shading of the image.

TIA to all of the devs doing the work!
