When is Ethereum planning to move to Proof of Stake? Posted: 19 Dec 2018 08:53 AM PST Hi folks. Sorry if the question has already been clarified here, but I just wanted to know if Ethereum's transition to Proof of Stake is a given, and if so, when is it likely to happen? edit: Thanks for your replies! You're welcome to put questions in this thread and we'll make sure they're answered during our AMA session which will last for 24 hours. [link] [comments]
Question about partial deposits in Ethereum 1.0 deposit contract Posted: 19 Dec 2018 03:16 PM PST I'm looking at the Vyper code for the Ethereum 1.0 deposit contract at https://github.com/ethereum/eth2.0-specs/blob/master/specs/core/0_beacon-chain.md#vyper-code What is the purpose of allowing deposits under 32ETH? The deposit contract doesn't check if someone's deposits eventually accumulate to 32ETH (thus cannot emit the ChainStart event if some of the deposits are partial) . I'm sure I'm making a mistake somewhere, just can't understand where. [link] [comments]
