Disgraced lying NSA director interview at Coingeek conference

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 02:57 PM PST

Retired general and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper did an interview with Coingeek in October.

For those who don't remember, Clapper blatantly lie under oath to Congress in 2013, claiming that the NSA didn't spy on US citizens' phone calls. And this moment was the breaking point for Ed Snowden to defect from the NSA, because he couldn't stand the betrayal of his entire nation anymore.

To see Clapper anywhere near crypto is clearly a warning. That this man is affiliated with Coingeek again suggests that Craig and Calvin's operations have deep intel ties.

Teenage Crypto Millionaire Erik Finman Says Bitcoin is Pretty Much Dead, Offers Hope for Bitcoin Cash

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 07:51 PM PST

"Bitcoin is dead, it's too fragmented, there's tons of infighting I just don't think it will last… It may have a bull market or two left in it, but long-term, it's dead."

Strangely enough, the teenager is actually of the belief that ZCash (ZEC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are both better investments than the original cryptocurrency. He said that Bitcoin Cash has a stable technology, stating that the only problem it has is poor marketing, considering the August hard fork and the other circumstances that led to its creation.

My goal for 2018 was to learn how to "invest".

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 02:04 PM PST

My goal for 2018 was to learn how to "invest".

I have entered the market at the end of DEC 2017 simply because time off work around christmas alowed me to spend time to figure out how to buy with fiat, move crypto around exchanges, research projects, etc. etc

For the first 5 months of 2018 I spent what I could bit by bit... every "dip" till work got slow and I run out of money. Factory lost orders, work got slow, market retract, down down down.... my over 2k "investment" turned to 350 a day ago.

Around august I have decided that my next investment will be "investing" in myself and I have went back to college... (I'm 36 years old). Got my "marketing" project and surprise surprise... end up writing about Blockchain in Hospitality.

Now i have no spare money to buy more, but crypto have changed my life already. I WILL Hodl DOWN TO ZERO.

ITS NOT ABOUT DESTINATION, Its About THE JOURNEY! It has been a ride. Hallo from a Polish guy living in Ireland. Crypto all the way UP!!!

Announcing "next generation" Electron Cash Android wallet!

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 08:45 AM PST

    https://ElectronCash.org

    1. This is a beta release.

    2. Functionality is limited. Hopefully soon we will add more features.

    3. Should still be a functioning wallet.

    4. Old android wallet was very "clunky", using a technology called Kivy to support the UI.

    5. Was a huge challenge to find a technology that could pair the python core libs with a 'native' Android UI. We faced this challenege on iOS and solved it, but on Android was even more hairy.

    6. We eventually solved it with a proprietary technology called Chaquopy. Credit for the research and trying different solutions which didn't work and then finding Chaquopy goes to Marcell O'neil.

    7. The creator of Chaquaopy, Malcolm Smith, worked with the Electron Cash team to make the technology available, and Malcolm also developed the wallet for us.

    8. Even though this is a proprietary technology, it was important all the code be fully inspectable.

    9. Some parts of the code in cython are compiled into C, a lower level language. The C code is provided but not cython. Although the wallet itself is open source, the chaquopy components are not. This is the part of the code that bridges the python to Java. This part of the code is viewable, inspectable, but not permitted to be used in other projects outside of Electron Cash. Although this is not ideal (ideally everything is 100% open source), we simply could not find an acceptable solution that was purely open source. This is the best compromise I could find. Other solutions were problematic or had poor performance.

    10. The wallet is available on the Google Play store, but it 3.3.2-2... for some reason Play store is not updating the latest 3.3.2-6. The difference is just that the newest one syncs much faster. If you download the Play store version please be patient as it syncs. You can also download the 3.3.2-6 release apk directly.

    11. Give it a try and let us know!

Warren Buffet wants you to HODL stocks before a larger market crash

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 04:11 PM PST

Warren Buffett suggests you read this 19th century poem when the market is tanking

"The stock market has had a volatile year, and it's not over yet: The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost more than 520 points on Monday and the S&P 500 fell 2.1 percent. Both are in correction and on pace for their worst December performance since the Great Depression in 1931."

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs ... If you can wait and not be tired by waiting ... If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim ... If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you ... Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it.

This poem applies better to a global peer to peer electronic cash system (BCH).

How to Spend and Give Bitcoin Cash Over the Holidays

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 06:07 PM PST

yours.org turned into Scam ? where is the $1.5 million supposed to be invested on the platform

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 07:52 AM PST

Yours.org was a young community where people can post blog post, and create discussions with each other.

They try to diverse from other platforms, like Steemit. By ch arching a small fee (10 cents) post an article. In this way they can prevent the surplus of spam articles. Because when writing their blog posts, people need to keep in mind that publishing isn't free.

Published blog posts can be both free to read, or charged. The Author decides how much is charged for an article. Beside's people 'buying' articles. Their is also a possibility to earn by tips. These tips are a similar concept to Steemit.

If people want to cash out, they can get paid with Bitcoin Cash.

I find this website a very interesting idea. The fact that you need to pay a small fee to posts can help prevent spam. But I'm worried about the legitimacy of the project. Their isn't very much activity yet. So we will just have to see.

Now as I can see yours.org stopped working, no one can post or at least see your own profile, I don't know what is happening, we don't have any news on social media about the platform.

It's a simple change to make it work with SV, so why isn't it done already?

On the beginning of this year, Ryan ( owner of yours.org) posted that they received more than 1.5 million$ to put on the platform, but where is this money, the platform was the same for almost a year and still the same thing, But now isn't working.

    https://www.yours.org/content/yoursorg-raises--15-m-to-make-bitcoin-mainstream-315e336c1898

Bitmain and nChain and negotiated the raise of $1.5 M, to yours. org.

    Where is that money?

"Yours.org has the potential to bring Bitcoin to everyone in the world," said Ryan X. Charles, CEO of Yours.org. "Because we have focused on making Bitcoin so easy to use, even the most casual users are able to send and receive Bitcoin.

Anyone, anywhere can start earning money for the things they love to do. The potential to change the way social media works and to improve the quality of content on the internet is enormous."

Another bad light on Ryan unfortunately. I used to like the guy and I still respect him quite a bit because of his apology for when he ticked out and censored people on yours.org.

Let's not miss this opportunity: Patreon's politically motivated deplatformings highlight the ideal use case of permissionless, trustless cash.

Is there a timed-release wallet for automatic donation? I'm not a coder, and I wish I could build something like this:

I buy BCH from Coinbase. Thanks to low-fees, I can send to another address that has been set up to send a fixed amount (USD or BCH) of BCH to another address on a regular basis.

Thanks to BCHs open ledger, it's easy to verify the contribution, so any pay-walled media can be released to the owner of the address. And thanks to BCHs low fees, topping off the bank of BCH from which to draw is borderline frictionless.
