Check out the new design of BitcoinCash.org!

As one of the contributors to BitcoinCash.org, I'm pleased to announce that we've just deployed a facelift for the website. We've done our best to modernize the layout and make it easier for new users to get learn more about Bitcoin Cash and participate in the growing communities.

Some have asked in the past who is behind BitcoinCash.org – it's actually operated by contributors from all over the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem. There's contributors from Bitcoin.com, Bitmain, Bitcoin ABC, Bitcoin Unlimited, as well as several independents who all put in their hard work over the past handful of months to help this revision come to life. A huge thank you to all contributors on this project. Especially those who worked with all of the translators.

Special thanks to https://www.reddit.com/user/merc1er for his hard work hammering through commits on this project.

Interested in making contributions? Please put in PR's at https://github.com/bitcoincashorg/bitcoincash.org/ or feel free to DM me if you'd like to contribute to translating strings to other languages.

Polish tax office can legally block an account that "seems suspicious" based on the computer algorithm without judgment of the Court, with no proof of any tax fraud. This is a reminder why we need Bitcoin Cash. Governments can bankrupt you legally if you are inconvenient for them.

Dear Coinbase, it’s been more than a month. How close are we to being able to dump our BSV and buy more BCH? Or even better, can we convert using your platform to do so like we can with other currencies?

Either way, it's ours. And a lot of us don't want it anymore. Please give us an ETA on an option to withdraw.

adoption will not happen on its own. get up and make it happen

    Posted: 19 Dec 2018 09:44 PM PST

called my stock brokerage research office third time this month now and almost scolded them to atleast study bitcoin and block chain technology . told them how this tech is being adopted globally and getting mainstream .

now atleast, they are looking at this sector with curiosity ( amid falling stock mkt every day here in pakistan ) and even ask me questions as to how this works , who are miners( laymen are fascinated with crypto miners ) , who regulates it,( LOL) .they are amazed at the very idea of money not needing any third party !

work on tech aside, we need more marketing and education over this since people have heard about bitcoin but know little else

    end of rant ,

    The Fall of /r/Libertarian

    Posted: 19 Dec 2018 05:24 PM PST

Hello /r/btc 'ers. Something has happened that I think you all will be interested in. /r/Libertarian as a sub has received the /r/Bitcoin treatment and has ceased to be a place of open and frank political discussion where to one where the mods explicitly try to control the narrative.

/u/Codefuser has a more indepth update on the state of /r/Libertarian. The new mod squad led by /u/rightc0ast is trying to "bend the narrative" to his own views of what Libertarianism should be. I believe this is bad stuff but please take a look and see for yourself.

So what now? Well, first, I'm now one of the mods of /r/LibertarianUncensored , a sub dedicated to being what /r/Libertarian used to be to the best of our abilities. And we'd love to have your political input, especially if it's input we don't necessarily agree with. The goal is political discourse not an echo chamber.

Second, /u/rightc0ast is only the #2 mod. If you know /u/SamsLembas/ reach out to him! He's the head mod and helped lead /r/Libertarian for 10 years. The best case scenario is that /u/SamsLembas see's how the sub is being damaged and undoes the changes. The damage would be done but the healing could begin anew.

Third (and the longest of long shots) /u/internetmallcop is the admin whose experiment acted as the catalyst for this to begin with the Community Points System. The ultimate fix for this issue is a system of optional mods where user can choose their moderators or simply a removal of mods who are clearly power-tripping.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this and a special thanks to /u/BitcoinXio for his inspiration to write this post here. As a Libertarian and a Crypto enthusiast I'm glad that /r/btc showed the model for how to rebuild. Hopefully someday with the power of crypto rebuilding will no longer be necessary.

Lost Bitcoin SV by sweeping BCH from a paper wallet, help needed.

    Posted: 20 Dec 2018 12:34 AM PST

    Hi!

I just sweeped some BCH from a paper wallet to Coinomi wallet on my Android phone. What I didn't realize, is that the Bitcoin SV would also get moved from the wallet to a same address in Bitcoin SV blockchain. Is it still possible to get those Bitcoin SV coins back, or did I just make an expensive mistake?

    Confidence in BCH

    Posted: 19 Dec 2018 10:13 AM PST

No crypto is perfect but I'm glad to have faith in the BCH community. I wouldn't have thought I'd be able to confidently fully buy multiple of bitcoin cash after the hard fork, hash war and attacks. I hope those who support BCH continue to stay true to its purpose and those new to crypto can buy confidently.

Here's to staying strong to create a better financial system!

    Thanks
