XRP Leading Crypto Through the Storm Posted: 28 Nov 2018 04:19 AM PST https://xrpcommunity.blog/xrp-leading-crypto-through-the-storm/
In today's blog, I describe how XRP is leading crypto through its late November storms and what could lie beyond.
𝙍𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙉𝙚𝙬𝙨: Dilip Rao to speak at Knomad in conjunction with the World Bank; and Ripple invests in Securitize via the Xpring initiative.
𝙓𝙍𝙋 𝙉𝙚𝙬𝙨: Two more epic videos are created - this time for WietseWind's creations, including the XRP Tip Bot and XRParrot; the XRP Ledger becomes even more decentralized; AnyPay adds XRP as a check-out option for brick-and-mortar merchants; A developer creates an application using the XRP Community API; and a new XRP fan site called XRP Starter Pack debuts.
I hope you enjoy the read!
Thanks & Sincerely, -Hodor [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Nov 2018 07:49 AM PST As crypto gains traction, I'm wondering how a business who accepts it can limit the amount of financial information that is accessible to the public. If a business owner didn't want their customers or competition to see the volume of business they do, or how much XRP they are holding, what would be best practice to use when accepting XRP? Who still uses there old Rippex Wallet? Posted: 28 Nov 2018 10:13 AM PST My original and still primary wallet is the Rippex desktop. I know that Rippex (and whatever service they provided is no longer. I assume that so long as I have my wallet address and my secret key, I don't really need to be concerned about Rippex no longer existing...is this correct? I get a bit concerned at the "security" mention on their website and don't understand why it matters: " However, we recommend gradual migration to other actively developed and updated wallet solutions to maintain security and compatibility with the XRPLedger. Migration is usually done by importing the secret key into the application of your choice. To obtain your secret key, go to the gear icon on the top right and select "security settings" and then click "show". " Any input? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Nov 2018 08:18 PM PST Another user posted a link to a more recent blog entry by Galgitron the other day, and I've been stumbling through the other entries since. Over the past few months I've spent less and less time in this subreddit, and I think this post hits the nail on the head. http://galgitron.net/Post/Hopium I thought it was a good read, and that it would be worth sharing to those who haven't found this blog yet - quite a few good posts. Enjoy it, and really think to yourself if you practice the steps at the end - if you don't, give it a try - you'll find much more depth in your conversations. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2018 12:38 AM PST So I work at Wendy's and thankfully now I work the first window where pay for your food. Was at work last night (hours ago) and I struck up convo with a customer bc that's what I do. I love meeting people and chatting them up (and their ears off). Usually. Long story short we got to talking about the weather (COLD AF I HATE IT) and I said I'd like to move to the Mediterranean and vacation in Maldives and the like (moon dreams, stay with me plz). Anyway we get to talking and I mentioned how I was gonna be able to afford trips like that. Tell him I have some crypto I got and he tells me he has some ETH and then I proceeded to be somewhat of an XRP bro and explain to him how ETH isn't all that great (but that I don't know much about it tbh so I didn't shit on it too much, only went on what I've read in this sub and over on r/XRP) and how wonderful XRP is and he actually listened and took note of my ramblings. I mentioned that FIs here and overseas have adopted XRP and the Ripple technology. Mentioned the tech behind it and what it does. Long story short he said he'd look into it bc it sounded good Not looking to add a question with this post but I guess I can't help myself: have any of y'all ever had an experience like this where you and a random stranger struck up convo and it went toward crypto and you told them of all the good BGar and Ripple and XRP is? Just had to share that. In this little northern town of Kentucky (close to Cincinnati), someone else knew of crypto and we had a nice couple mins chat Thanks for reading [link] [comments]
