How does XRPs value increase with Ripples partnerships with banks?

    Posted: 22 Nov 2018 12:24 PM PST

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but when banks adopt Ripple, they aren't technically holding XRP are they? Don't they only use the XRP during a transfer, like a quick buy and sell meaning it's essentially negligible?

Or do they hold a large portion of them then the customer who is sending the money simply buys and sells from the bank? (I know this all happens behind the scenes without the customer or Banks knowledge btw, just wondering where the XRP comes from for each fiat transfer)

Or do we expect XRPs value to increase simply because ripple is becoming more successful?

Will Price manipulation by whales decrease over time ? If so, HOW?

    Posted: 22 Nov 2018 04:55 AM PST

Hi, I understand that we can't factually say that whales have been purposely manipulating the price but let's pretend they have. (I'm using the massive transactions in the ledger)

As of now, when XRP rises by 10% (due to their pump - assumption) whales can easily make millions in a relatively short time assuming they start dumping. (Nothing new this year)

With that kind of power (controling the pump and dump) , why would they ever let the price grow organically? They'll just dominate the market until investors give up. They would be able to make loads more money and become even more powerful. They wouldn't care to HODL and we'd all suffer the consequences of this. (unless you're a daily trader)

Perhaps institutional money will reduce manipulation?

    Thanks for any responses.

    Working online for XRP [ideas]

    Posted: 22 Nov 2018 03:53 AM PST

Good morning! How are we all?

For every digital workers here who could do some job for this community, in order to be paid in XRP, what kind of work could we offer? What kind of job do you need done?

We have now the possibility to write smart contracts with Codius, so it gives safety to the contractors.

I have always thought in these types of work:

    • personal assistant (administrative or health care stuffs)
    • webmarketing, SEO etc.
    • programming stuff
    • academic works (thesis, citation style etc.)
    • if someone has a school, offer scholarship to needy students

The idea is possibly reunite the two ends and if it goes ahead maybe create a fixed post with this commerce.

    XRP tip bot Paper

    Posted: 22 Nov 2018 02:13 AM PST

Can someone walk me thru how a person would get the tips I give them from a paper tip. I see 2 QR codes. One in top middle in black and one in red on bottom. What would be the steps?

    1. get app
    2. scan red code, which I assume gives them the black code in top middle?
    3. and then donate to above code in black? That would be the "account number"?

If I wanted to preload the above code. I would scan it and add the tip to above code in black?
