    • General questions about altcoins

    Thread guidelines:

    • This is for high quality discussion of altcoins. All shilling or obvious pumping/dumping behavior will result in an immediate one day ban. This is your only warning.

Looks like South Korea is finally about to get a shiny new framework for laws pertaining to the blockchain industry!

    Posted: 29 Nov 2018 05:39 AM PST

    https://thenews.asia/en/2018/11/29/basic-blockchain-regulatory-framework-to-come-in-december/

As reported in Sympathy Newspaper (Gongam Shinmoon) this afternoon in Seoul, Sangmin Lee from the Science, Technology Information and Broadcasting Committee in National Assembly announced that a basic framework for blockchain regulations will be submitted to and quickly initiated by the legislature this December.

Lee stated, "In order to realize Korea's potential in the global blockchain market, we have to support blockchain startups."

His suggestions echoed those from several independent experts in blockchain technology and fintech who made their case for a reasonably regulated blockchain industry to the National Assembly about a month ago.

Predictions Regarding the Future of Bitcoin Price?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2018 09:15 AM PST

I just did a little bit of research over the current market position for the Bitcoin. What an amazing moment, when I noticed the price reached $4,257, a 24-hour increase of 11.43 percent and the highest daily gain since April month. But then, the price was a lot higher ( the exact data is over $6,900 - the price was higher with more than 38 percent comparing to the current one).

What are your speculations about its future price? Is it the right time to invest now, or to wait until the next price drop?

    Using cryptocurrency exchange APIs

    Posted: 29 Nov 2018 03:26 AM PST

    Hey guys,
Did anyone ever use the API of an exchange? I want to use e.g. Coinbase's API to get real-time price data and store it to create a dataset with exchange trade histories and I'm wondering if that's possible for free. I want to do some data analysis but I'd need trade history of a few coins and exchanges for that and I'm wondering if I can use the exchange APIs to get that data for free.
