[Altcoin Discussion] Friday, November 02, 2018

    Posted: 01 Nov 2018 09:05 PM PDT

Thread topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Discussion related to recent events
    • Technical analysis, trading ideas & strategies
    • General questions about altcoins

    Thread guidelines:

    • Be excellent to each other.
    • All regular rules for this subreddit apply, except for number 2. This, and only this, thread is exempt from the requirement that all discussion must relate to bitcoin trading.
    • This is for high quality discussion of altcoins. All shilling or obvious pumping/dumping behavior will result in an immediate one day ban. This is your only warning.
    • No discussion about specific ICOs. Established coins only.

If you're not sure what kind of discussion belongs in this thread, here are some example posts. News, TA, and sentiment analysis are great, too.

Bitcoins-fees-are-higher-than-wall-streets-fees according to J.P Konig in Breakermag

    Posted: 01 Nov 2018 02:53 PM PDT

I question the conclusion of this article: https://breakermag.com/sorry-bitcoins-fees-are-higher-than-wall-streets-fees/

As far as I can see, the author, Mr. J.P. Konig, makes a classic mistake by forgetting to account for fiat inflation, which is 3% at minimum, but often much higher in many countries? He uses Bitcoin and Ether inflation rates to show that investment or trading in cryptocurrencies are more expensive than Wall street stock trading (but those stocks are also subject to inflation as they are denominated in fiat). In case I'm right I hope someone notifies him as I do not have a twitter-account.

Centralized secured exchange and trading platform with KYC and Regulation

    Posted: 02 Nov 2018 02:19 AM PDT

It's time to rethink cryptocurrency exchanges it's time to build the global exchange most cryptocurrency trading happens on centralized exchanges offering traders benefits like increased efficiency large liquidity pools and real time asset price discovery. But most cryptocurrency exchanges built their platforms during boom times and couldn't keep up building hastati means cutting some corners results you can see poor customer service with large delays slow signup verification deposits and withdrawals results you can't see platforms that won't scale poor security customer funds. I think KuBitx using a cutting-edge tech that is set to achieve some of the fastest transaction rates per second the crypto world has ever seen yet it will be super easy to use even for non seasoned traders. They will drive cryptocurrency technologies into emerging markets where it is needed the most we have already attracted the attention and signed a partnership with one of the first crypto fiat banks broadening our horizons to move beyond crypto trading by offering new and unique financial services.

    Useful market-monitoring tools?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2018 11:11 AM PDT

I use a couple of these sites/tools on a daily basis but I feel like I'm missing out on some. Here are a few of them which may be useful to some of you as well and I'd appreciate if anyone can share any others as you can never have too many.

    • Bitcoinwisdom/Cryptowatch
    • RSIHunter
    • Worldcoinindex/Coinmarketcap
    • TurtleBC
    • TradingView
    • Datamish

Mainly interested in XBTUSD - Any useful apps (Android) appreciated as well.

Edit: Also any Bitmex related tools would be nice, I had some but lost a note file with all the links.

    Thanks
