Wouldn't the next financial crisis be negative for Ripple?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 10:32 AM PDT

We all take pride in XRP and Ripple because the token and the company have a real use case: banks. But, wouldn't this turn against us if banks went down -or put under a lot pf pressure, just like it happened 10 years ago? People in crypto -me included- are looking forward to the next financial crisis, as we believe it's a given that cryptocurrencies will shine as a way to hedge against inflation and the volatility of traditional markets. But the case of XRP is odd, since it's marketed mostly for the banking industry. Isn't this dangerous? Are there alternative uses or reasons to still be in XRP once the shit hits the fan? Thanks! PS: NO FUD, just an honest debate. I hold XRP too!

TIL David Schwartz is an extremely active user on Stack Exchange

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 03:47 AM PDT

I was reading a post in the finance exchange and another answer referenced an answer from a David Schwartz who to my excessive surprise turned out to be THE David Schwartz. You can see his profile here: https://stackexchange.com/users/372293/david-schwartz?tab=accounts. Not only is he active but he appears to have been a user since it's inception going by dates and on all topics form Bitcoin to The Workplace.

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 06:15 PM PDT

Uphold just sent me an email stating they will have the option of securing a crypto line of credit (CLOC) using XRP among other crypto assets. I tried to post the email but it was rejected for a "violation". Rrriiigghhhhttttt

What is stopping someone from setting up their own bank that uses XRapid?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 06:26 AM PDT

Hi, is there anything that could stop me from creating my own bank that uses XRapid's technology? Perhaps instead of sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for the price to go to $100 I could make some money by being the fastest and cheapest bank in the world when it comes to sending money internationally..

Why is everyone looking forward to an EOY bull run ?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 06:20 AM PDT

What's up with all the EOY predictions ? Yes we all expect a bull run eventually but why does the community strongly believe it's gonna happen before the end of the year and not in 2019 ?

    Longevity - E.O.Y. Bull Run & Useage.

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 03:09 AM PDT

Given that last year's bull run was speculation dominated, how does everyone see the potential bull run this year. Seeing as we now have use cases and instrial application, how do you see the trajectory; peak and fall like last year, or keep a steady path due to useage, or something in between? Just curious to see people's outlooks on our hopefully lucrative future.

Spread the love with XRP Tip Bot

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 01:34 AM PDT

As a loving and harmonious bunch of XRP enthusiasts - I recommend spreading the love to the other crypto subs.

The xrptipbot is so easy to sign up and use that I suggest that today we have tipping Tuesday. I'm off to tip some xrp haters.

Truly, is XRP a good thing for banks to adopt?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 11:54 AM PDT

XRP is volatile, we all know that. Some days it is less volatile, some days more.

    .

    .

Would the volatility of XRP actually be detrimental to banks? Imagine a 'Bank' has executed a transfer of $1,000,000 worth of XRP, mid-transaction there is a 1% drop in the USD price of XRP. That original $1,000,000 worth of XRP is now worth 1% less and now sits at $990,000. Is this a plausible outcome?

    Please help me understand.
