Why hasn't anyone made an indie games platform using Ethereum Posted: 10 Oct 2018 05:46 AM PDT What is stopping somebody from making a desktop app similar to Steam which allows small game developers to sell tokenized game licenses for crypto ?? Or even music licenses? That would be so cool. Then the game would boot up and work only if you can prove (signature) that your account owns the tokenized license for it. Then we could trade these game licenses on other platforms. I think this is achievable now and certainly in a post-casper environment. [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Oct 2018 11:37 PM PDT What computers are actually doing the computing on Ethereum virtual machine? I know miners are often Pentium CPU machines with several GPUs running. Are the Pentium CPUs the chips processing the smart contracts, and then the GPUs are just pumping out hashes to verify/create/solve blocks? Does this work a different way? Where are the smart contracts stored? On the Pentium machines with all of the GPUs? I am authentically curious. Thank you and Cheers! 🖖 [link] [comments]

iOS App to Track Ethereum Addresses Posted: 10 Oct 2018 05:49 AM PDT Hello Ethereum community! I wanted to give an update to my iOS App Cold Crypto. I just released version 1.2 which allows users to get notifications when they send/receive crypto to addresses they are tracking (a quick explanation of the app is you add your addresses from over 50 coins and then it tracks your holdings). The app includes support for Ethereum, some ERC20, and many other coins. This community has been great to me and I wanted to share the app with anyone else who may find it useful! Here is the link if you are interested: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cold-crypto/id1375812090?mt=8 [link] [comments]
