    Bitcoin Price Analysis - 10/08/2018

    Posted: 08 Oct 2018 09:48 AM PDT

A key indicator of bitcoin's volatility (BTCUSD) declined this week to its lowest level since May 2017, signaling renewed calm in the market. Volatility has been in firm retreat for much of 2018, a trend that some attribute to the rise of futures trading. Contrary to popular belief, the introduction of bitcoin futures last December has been accompanied by a decline in large price swings for the digital asset. Despite struggling to reverse the bear market, bitcoin's supporters have established a healthy price floor at $6,000. This key level ensures that miners can continue their operations without losing money.

However, in the next 10 days, the situation may become worse: on October 17, traders prepare for the next CBOE futures expiry, which usually negatively affects bitcoin's price. In addition, trade volumes are now quite small - about $ 3.3 billion per day, whereas even for a short-term "bullish" movement (should be above $ 4 billion). Thus, the "bearish" trend remains in force - indicators show that BTC will soon fall down to the $ 6,350 level.

Suggestions for a survey regarding the crypto market

    Posted: 08 Oct 2018 08:55 AM PDT

Hello dear co-investors, co-speculators and of course as the majority here the co-"I'm here for the tech only"-people

Im going to write a Bachelor thesis in the crypto market/crypto investor topic. I'm not sure what will be the exact research question yet but I will definitely make a little survey alongside my (bigger) theoretical part.

Probably the subject will be something about risk taking in the crypto markets but that's not sure right now and I still have plenty of time to think about it.

I would love to know some different opinions/suggestions of the reddit community. Therefore I wrote some questions which would be useful for me and my future research:

    1. What is rationality respectively what defines a rational crypto investor?
    2. What would be important/interesting questions in a survey about cryptocurrencies?
    3. What would be good questions about risk taking as an investor?

Of course I already have some questions in mind but won't write anything here right now to not influence ur thoughts. It would be nice if I can find out some psychological aspects of a cryptocurrency investor.

If the interest is here I will definitely ask you guys to fill our my survey and I will also give you access to read my full Bachelor thesis once I've finished it (should be in April 2019).

And if you take the time to answer something you can also just give an input about one of the questions if you don't want to write something about all of them. Of course other suggestions besides my questions are also more than welcome!

Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to your replies!

Bitcoin Has Bottomed, Time to Get in with the Smart Money.

    Posted: 08 Oct 2018 01:13 AM PDT

    Hi traders,

We called for a Bitcoin bottom about a couple weeks ago and so far the price has held steady despite a lot of fear mongering and pictures of large triangles being thrown around the community.

There are glaring structural similarities between the accumulation of 2015 and the price action we're seeing today (we posted a link to the charts below)

We believe the market has bottomed and is in "waiting mode" pending more some more fundamental news coming from regulators (SEC).

    What is your take traders?

    Cheers,

    F0x
