Joseph Young: The Next Phase in Crypto Is Convicing Users to Switch to Decentralized Systems Posted: 09 Oct 2018 08:49 PM PDT Joseph Young, an crypto analysts and investor, just twitted to say:" You can build the most sophhisticated product but if no one uses it , there's no point. You can scream your food is better than a 3 Michelin star institution but if no one comes to eat, it's pointless. The next phase in crypto is convincing users to switch to decentralized systems. Question: Bitcoin-related projects for developers? Posted: 10 Oct 2018 03:04 AM PDT Hello. I'm looking for suggestions on technical projects that a software engineer could mess with, if he/she wants to work with bitcoin. It could be anything, for example: - implement BIP999 - come up with a proposal to improve <insert feature> - create a software wallet that does <X> but not <Y> - come up with a solution to problem <X> Anything that you believe is worth the effort, in the sense that it improves the state of Bitcoin right now. Anything that might be needed. Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Oct 2018 07:58 PM PDT Anyone know where I could find Olaf Carlson-wee's (Polychain Capital) original college thesis on bitcoin? It's supposedly a 60 page paper on how bitcoin can reshape society, any help's appreciated Thanks! [link] [comments]
A quick survey about taxes and cryptocurrencies for my bachelor thesis Posted: 10 Oct 2018 03:51 AM PDT Hey fellow Redditors, I'm currently working on my bachelor thesis in digital product design at a German university. The idea is to create product-based tax reporting solutions for private investors. I created this survey to get relevant data streams about the pain-points in the process of taxing cryptocurrencies. The survey only takes about 2 minutes and is anonymous. It would help a lot if some of you would submit answers. Here is the survey: **https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe29tmaFy9R8VbxKIHpY6m2nX9isOMsSi4onaG8RaorOyaANQ/viewform?usp=sf_link** Reminder: It's a Google Forms survey. No E-Mail required.
