What caused the late 2017-early 2018 extreme price fluctuations in Litecoin and Bitcoin prices? Posted: 29 Sep 2018 07:11 PM PDT ​ Litecoin prices in AUD ​ ​ ​ Bitcoin prices in AUD ​ What I mean by "late 2017-early 2018 extreme price fluctuations" are the: Price spike on December 20 Price crash on December 31 2nd price spike on January 9 2nd price crash on February 6 3rd price spike on February 20 3rd price crash on April 1 So why did this happen?: Were lots of people buying Litecoin and Bitcoin for Christmas 2017? If so, how come it didn't end up like a normal bubble? How was it able to quickly spike again after crashing on December 31? It seems like the prices are not as volatile as earlier in the year right now. Should I be worried about extreme volatility again at the end of this year?
