First live project to create digital organizations is now available to Ethereum blockchain too Posted: 01 Jun 2018 11:32 AM PDT The intent of EtherInc is to create an alternative protocol for running decentralized organizations and building decentralized applications, providing a different set of tradeoffs that we believe will be very useful for a large class of decentralized applications, with particular emphasis on situations where rapid development time, security for small and rarely used applications, and the ability of different applications to very efficiently interact, are important. EtherInc does this by building what is essentially the ultimate abstract foundational layer: a blockchain with a built-in Turing-complete programming language, allowing anyone to write smart contracts and decentralized applications where they can create their own arbitrary rules for ownership, transaction formats and state transition functions. A bare-bones version of Namecoin can be written in two lines of code, and other protocols like currencies and reputation systems can be built in under twenty. Smart contracts, cryptographic "boxes" that contain value and only unlock it if certain conditions are met, can also be built on top of the platform, with vastly more power than that offered by Bitcoin scripting because of the added powers of Turing completeness, value-awareness, blockchain-awareness and state. Blockchain a solution to identity theft - Usechain Empowers Identity Posted: 01 Jun 2018 07:28 AM PDT Have you ever wonder when you make an online purchase or use an online service, how will these organisations safeguard our private information? Even if our information is secured, are these centralized repositories capable in protecting our identities from identity theft? There are currently no realistic answers or solutions. An article from Fortune, ''How Blockchain Could Put an End to Identity Theft'' stated that the meaning of privacy and identity control can be regained using blockchain technology. The root of the problem is people favor convenience over privacy. The article highlighted that '' Most of us don't read the small print or do deep technical assessments before sharing information online. We don't want to remember a different password for each account or re-enter credit card numbers every time we make an online purchase.'' Hence, whether we realized it or not, we have transferred the ownership of our personal details to be managed by business organisations. This pose as a crucial problem as any potential form of security breach, data leakage or mishandling will have an impact on users' privacy, especially identity theft. The article cited that ''Last year, 16.7 million people in the U.S. were victims of identify fraud, a 1.3-million-person jump since 2016. Oftentimes, individuals have no idea that their digital identities have been compromised until they attempt to buy a home or take out a loan and find their financial lives in ruins.''. Such matter has become a pressing issue not just in the U.S. but across the entire world. However, there has yet to have an effective counter measure. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jun 2018 07:30 PM PDT Jerry: Trezna: Why you have to Buy DTRC tokens now : 1. The first cryptobank/decenteralized bank with various features not just lending but more, including for social use. Smartphones will reach places conventional banks can ever reach. 2. Has only 239million total supply and 118million circulating supply, with marketcap just under $1.5 million and only on small exchanges (Bancor and Idex).Price has easy potential to grow rapidly. 3. Token holders will get dividends for taking part in various roles in the project. 4. Very professional multinational team from all over the world w/ extensive experience in blockchain tech and the financial sector. Low profile not extensively doing marketing because they focus on product development. 5. If you buy now you are considered lucky because price is very low towards its true utility token value. 6. Minimum viable product (alpha) will be released by June 2018. Do your Own Research Read the WhitePaper [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jun 2018 07:06 AM PDT "Can Blockchain Be Applied to the Photo Industry?" This is the question that all those in the photo industry are currently asking. Blockchain technology is perfectly suited to decentralized management of photographs — including ownership, rights management and usage. Thanks to Photochain, and others working in this space, the industry is excited about the unique potential of blockchain technology on the photo industry. Photochain are recognized as one of the chief innovators in the industry, so we are delighted to have been invited to speak at CEPIC, on Wednesday 30th May. CEPIC (Centre of the Picture Industry) is the largest world congress for commercial images, where industry leaders, experts, agencies, photographers, service providers and many more come together annually, in one place to discuss the industry as a whole. The industry has much appreciation for Photochain's outstanding technology and have invited us to come and take part in a panel discussing all things blockchain and photography. Alongside Photochain's CEO Stanislav, other members of the panel include Marcus Schmitt, CEO of Copytrack (our esteemed partner), and CEO's of KodakCoin and WeMark. So we expect a fascinating and engaging discussion. [link] [comments]
