    Review of the Acorn Collective

    Posted: 16 Jun 2018 06:49 PM PDT

The Acorn Collective is a new and exciting blockchain-based project headquartered in Gibraltar. Their goal is simple and solves a serious real world problem. In a "nutshell" (pun most definitely intended), they want to address the current issues associated with crowdfunding and strive to make crowdfunding more efficient and effective and also free for everyone to use.

In order to understand why this project is so valuable, one must first develop a handle on some of the problems that currently plague the crowdfunding space today. According to the Acorn Collective's one pager, there a few statistics that poignantly illustrate these problems. The vast majority of campaigns (78%) fail to meet their target allocation goals, 62% of potential backers have little faith in the projects because they don't believe that they are indeed legitimate, developed countries have a huge and unfair advantage with regards to crowdfunding, with only 1.9% of raised funds being funneled into developing countries, where they are most needed, and, finally, over one quarter of these campaigns are destined for failure, even with starting capital.

The current system has ample room for improvement and the Acorn Collective understands these shortcomings and has a concrete plan to address them. This plan revolves around three main components: accessibility, transparency and success. The Acorn Collective recognizes the problems that developing countries face with accessibility to crowdfunding and they are determined to be more accessible than any other platform that has come before them. By doing so, they can truly reach the masses and embody what crowdsourcing means. They intend to develop a global network of partners that will help to provide funding to startups of all sizes and from all regions. The second major problem, transparency, is one that fits in perfectly with blockchain technology. Now, for perhaps the first time ever, potential investors can formally validate the authenticity of a project via the blockchain and will have confidence putting their money behind their conviction. This level of added trust by the investors will also serve to alleviate the third problem, success. In addition to increased investor confidence, the success of these crowdfunding campaigns will be directly bolstered by the Acorn Collective in the form of automating digital marketing campaigns using proprietary industry data and algorithms.

Acorn Collective has already held their presale at the beginning to the year and they quickly sold out. Their main ICO crowdsale began on 5/26 and goes through 6/24. They intend to raise 25,000,000 of their token, called OAK, and the total supply of OAK will be set at 65,000,000. The ICO is set to a hard cap of $35,000,000. The Acorn Collective plans to release a completely revised white paper in the near future and they expect to release their MVP within the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2018. If solving the current crowdsourcing problems sounds interesting to you, be sure to check out their website at https://www.aco.ai/ to read the whitepaper, learn about the team, and join the community.

anyone else getting concerned at the number of massive descending triangles forming on 1day charts?

    Posted: 16 Jun 2018 10:05 AM PDT

Across numerous top 100 coins im seeing this pattern, with the biggest being BTC itself, i tried to measure the move down on BTC and its off the scale, below zero, if thats even possible.

Not trying to FUD, just my observations the past week or so with my TA, and i see very little people putting their finger on that mammoth bitcoin desctriangle and talking about it.

LTC looks like its breaking below one with measured move back to where it started. ADA/IOTA/TRX breaking down from massive symmetrical triangles with measured moves down i don't even want to measure.

    Get notified on trade execution?

    Posted: 16 Jun 2018 02:03 AM PDT

Looking for some tool combination to get notified on my phone of trade execution at different exchanges (e.g. Binance, Bittrex, KuCoin etc). Could be an email but ideally would be a phone notification so it's more real-time.

Does some program or combination of programs exist to achieve this? Can coinigy do this (but note I want to execute the trades directly on the exchanges)?
