    I remember back in January there was a guy posting that prices would be over $2 in Feb, and at $5 (!) in March. He failed terribly. And so does everyone in this sub. Let's admit it, we all gambled some amount of money (loose change of most I hope) and we have no idea whether we'll end up with $10 or $10,000.

    I'm just saying this because I've been stalking this sub for months, and every day there are post predicting bullshit, or posting meaningless news as evidence that we are about to get rich. Don't get me wrong, it's fine to have hope and all of that, but let's be realist and understand that this is a gamble, no one here has a clue about how the market will look like in a year or even a month, and most people posting predictions are just talking bullshit.

    Now, I know this will get downvoted most probably, I just wanted to say it.

    My perspective on things: If I had kept my fiat in fiat its value would never increase and I am 99% sure I would have spent it on some stupid shit.

    Buying XRP has forced my to save in a "savings account" that I will not spend, for two reasons: if it's going down, it would be foolish to sell and lock in losses. if it's going up, it would be foolish to sell and lose future profits. Bottom line, I have some XRP instead of having (near) zero fiat plus I am very very unlikely to touch it for quite a while.

    I find it hard as fuck to save money with all modern temptations and I'd rather have something which is essentially un-spendable and might go up in value than fiat which is easily spent and could never go up in value. $5000 instead of $10000 sucks, but $5000 instead of ZERO does not suck (would surely be zero in my case), especially if that $5000 can become much more in the following years (it doesn't matter when - you need to wait 1 year for the bank to give you 2%, at best).

    Is the general opinion that price consistency like we have seen the last 24-48 hours a good thing? Setting aside that everyone would like want the price higher, a consistent price that stays flat for a period of time likely is a signal that the tides are turning, correct? Maybe we need weeks of this, just an observation.
