XRP & Ripple: A Week of Viral Publicity, Liquidity Boosts, and Another Central Bank Mention Posted: 01 Apr 2018 07:26 AM PDT Happy Easter morning XRP Fans - It's been a busy week for Ripple and XRP: Ripple donates $29 million to a charity & is drawn into what quickly became viral mainstream media coverage. In addition, the Uphold integration is complete, adding a huge number of currency pairings to the ecosystem; I also discuss other points such as JoelKatz' Asia tour and more central bank news. Hope you enjoy the read - please leave any feedback below. Thanks & sincerely, -Hodor [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Apr 2018 02:14 PM PDT I've been involved with crypto (XRP) since November 2017, and I have observed over the past few months all the FUD and HODL posts that are generated in this Ripple sub, and I began to wonder about the analogue of this experience in the world of BTC and ETH 5-8 years ago, especially in their respective Reddit subs. I'm new to Reddit; I also follow the BTC/ETH subs, but I have not figured out how to search for such historic content to validate my question. For example, when ETH was around $1 in Sept 2015, were those ETH holders worried and vocal about the sky falling or losing their shirts? Were these posters more supportive of each other, or were they just pushing FUD? I ask this question, because I'm interested in the adoption cycle for XRP (and crypto in general) and the relation to how this cycle syncs up to what is posted in a social media environment like Reddit. (I'm also a researcher in a university) Thoughts and feedback are welcomed, thanks. [link] [comments]

Western Union Netherlands (regarding tweet of ad 0 transaction fees) Posted: 01 Apr 2018 03:24 AM PDT I am from the netherlands and i can confirm that this ad has been shown on tv numerous of times. The ad itself was pretty extensive. Linking numerous people of several countries exchanging money between eachother and how easy it is to do it. Here in the Netherlands we have a broad multicultural society with people from alot of different countries and most of them have alot of less wealthy familys abroad,it makes sense for WU to start in the Netherlands even if its to just to test the Xrapid and the cross-border payment solution live on a small scale. Western Union has been pretty silent with the ads on tv but suddenly boom here they are offering 0 dollar/euro fees on first time transactions just like that. Is this a hint of a ripple/XRP integration ? [link] [comments]

Instant Payment (EU) vs Ripple? Posted: 01 Apr 2018 05:33 AM PDT Hello everyone, No april fool(!) I just figured out that major public banks in germany (e.g. Sparkasse) is going to offer "Instant Payment" (max. 15000€/transfer) by April this year for the customers. It is based on a non proft organisation (EPC). Probably it is based on SWIFT, I would guess. More banks mentioned to use it cross the whole EU. Santander too. Is this new or have i just missed that one out? Please share your opinion. Also I just wanted to point out this is not meant to be a fud post. I am still holding guys. Just wonder what is your opinion on this topic. I think Ripple is still a very good solution for international cross border payments (non-EU)... Greetings and happy easter time. PS: Sorry in case my english is bad. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Apr 2018 12:19 PM PDT Guys, it seems the worst of the clusterfuck is behind us. Bitcoin has stabilized on some rock-solid support around the 6500$ mark which means the whole market should stabilize somewhat as well. If you have some loose cash you might want to buy some XRP right now. And this brings me to my second point: only invest loose cash you can completely write off. Don't invest using the rent money. I'm down 60% on Ripple, but that's just 5% of all my savings. So if XRP goes to 0, I only lose 5% of my whole stash. [link] [comments]
