Why "Litecoin Was The Only Choice" For ABRA, And What It Means For The Future Of LTC

    Posted: 23 Apr 2018 11:44 AM PDT

^Interview with the CEO of ABRA on why he chose Litecoin.

We are all aware of ABRA and psyched they chose LTC, but I wanted to point something out.

Warren Buffett is famous for commenting that in the short term, markets are voting machines. They function on hype, rumors, bubbles, etc. Over the long term, though, he said they are weighing machines, so the fundamental value of an asset is revealed. Litecoin is "the only choice" for building crypto financial infrastructure. How much do you think that will weigh in a few years?

    Onwards and upwards LTC community.

    Loafwallet still doesn't work.

    Posted: 23 Apr 2018 05:56 AM PDT

LoafWallet still doesn't work for me on iOS.

After I enter my pin the app closes as if it crashed. I see that it's still running though and when I go back to it I see the white screen. If I turn airplane mode off and on again (someone on Reddit suggested this), the white screen goes away and it takes me back to the screen that needs the pin. When I enter the pin the app closes again.

Are there plans to update the app soon?

    LTC mining using L3+ antminer

    Posted: 23 Apr 2018 07:01 AM PDT

I just got my L3+ antminer and started mining in 10 minutes.. real easy to setup (almost plug and play=decentralization) .. moves the air around.. also real noisy (like a vacuum cleaner left on all the time)... don't know how profitable running 1 antminer will be.. it says about 1 LTC per month per antminer (or $150 less electric costs -50=100 or less).

A former top Wall Street regulator turns to the blockchain

    Posted: 23 Apr 2018 10:43 AM PDT

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/23/a-former-top-wall-street-regulator-turns-to-the-blockchain.html .

"Most industry experts, including Mr. Gensler, assume that Bitcoin is safe from being categorized as a security because it was not originally issued through an initial coin offering or a central organization, and the software is maintained by a decentralized group of developers. Some other virtual currencies, like Litecoin and Monero, have similar designs."

    Emission Rates

    Posted: 23 Apr 2018 02:07 AM PDT

Merchant Adoption is not the problem. It's consumer adoption.

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 04:02 PM PDT

Merchants can't be the ones to lead the way. It needs to be consumers requesting to pay with Litecoin.

It could be small; you going to 3 or 4 small shops you regularly go to and ask to pay in LTC every week. Maybe offer to help set them up.

    job outlook

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 04:09 PM PDT

i dont have any litecoin...yet. sorry for posting this here but i need help and dont know where else to post this . im 18 and im really into computers and technology . I want to start looking into some good jobs that will pay good and that will have a really big demand later when more technology comes out. I dont wanna go to school and get a job that will be taken over by robots later. I live in Orange county California btw so im pretty sure theres some good schools around here i can maybe check out. But what are some good careers that will most likely be in big demand later around 2020-2025. i know this might be a dumb question but i really want to do good so i can show my parents im not a lazy ass . I was looking into cyber security because literally every technology later is gonna need some security but that seems a bit boring for me .

    VHS v Betamax

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 11:11 PM PDT

Charlie needs to get some good PR men in .. just because you may hav a better product, doesnt mean you will win the race .. remember the VHS v Betamax of the 80's .. betamax was a far superior format .. but VHS won the race because it was more popular, and due to the format bieng taken up by more companies .. ATM bitcoincash is more popular, probably in a big way due to all the PR it gets .. The flappning now 37% ... thats got to say something

    Abra(cadabra)/Coinbase

    Posted: 22 Apr 2018 08:52 PM PDT

Abra doesn't charge upfront fees but cover their costs/profit by manipulating the coin price.

    Example: 1 LTC - actual price $125 1 LTC - Abra price $127

Coinbase does this too but also charges fees on top of the price manipulation.

If you're planning to trade, GDAX (a Coinbase product) is a good place to start. Put some money in your brokerage account there. If you already have money in Coinbase you can move between Coinbase and GDAX almost instantaneously. For lack of the correct terminology, they're sister companies thus linked.

Read on GDAX about being a Maker and you'll never pay transaction fees.

Coinbase has a cool mobile app but the GDAX mobile browser site isn't bad... you can also set stop loss limits on GDAX. Set it and forget it, if you so desire.

Watch the market before you hop in. Don't buy on emotion or a high. I watched for months before buying and am still not in the best place with my decisions.
