    Recently, Bitcoin Ben hosted a meetup where he talked about various things about the Litecoin Foundation and me that were untrue. I would like to correct it. It is not ok to misrepresent the LF or me.

    1) We don't discuss LTC price in our Litecoin Foundation slack channels. We work towards adoption first and foremost. Price will do well if adoption happens, and not the other way around. Ben may have chatted privately with members of the LF and discussed price. Nothing wrong with people predicting prices, but it's not ok to present that as a LF price target.

    2) No one knew that the crash this year was going to happen. It wasn't orchestrated as far as I am aware.

    3) Ben doesn't know me that well. We haven't really chatted after he joined our slack.

    4) I am NOT trying to keep the price low. That would be dumb. It is not OK to misinterpret my tweets and then claim that I told him personally that I'm trying to keep the price down and that I know I can't keep it down anymore.

    5) I have nothing to do with OMG or other ICO tokens. I've always tried to keep a distance from ICOs. Using my reputation to pump an ICO token is not cool.

    I like that Ben is very passionate about Litecoin and wants to help, but as a representative of the Litecoin Foundation, he shouldn't be making up things or stretching the truth. Ben has since stepped down from volunteering for the foundation.

    Sad day as an emergency situation came up and I had to sell all my LTC(fortunately for a decent ROI), but damn I'm glad it was there. I'd be really stuck without it.

    Hopefully in a few months I'll be back in the game with you. Don't moon without me!

    Restoring old LTC wallet

    Hi guys. I was reading about LTC today and suddenly remembered that back in 2014 I messed around with it and realised I might have something saved somewhere. I look in my google drive and find a file that seems to be a wallet, and it's a .json file.

    Is this a LTC wallet? I can't remember what wallet I had or anything really, so any help is appreciated!!

    Reflect on this. I believe there to be much wisdom in this statement. Listen to no one who claims to have inside information otherwise, they are selling you something. Everything you need to know and that matters is already free and open.

    Wirex (only working EU virtual debit card) accepting Litecoins

    Just a heads up: Litecoin now accepted at Wirex (so far, to my knowledge, the only virtual credit card with Crypto working in EU... I've tested it on Amazon and it works).

    Am I reading this right? Federal Reserve research report says crypto could replace cash in near future?

    This research document was published recently by the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis (one of the 12 that make up the US Central Bank), it says that cash is going to be replaced in the near future with existing cryptocurrency as a method of payment?

    "In the near future, a close cash substitute will be developed that will rapidly drive out cash as a means of payment. A contender is Bitcoin or some other cryptocurrency. While cryptocurrencies still have many drawbacks, such as high payment fees, scaling issues, and poor adoption, these issues could rapidly disappear with the emergence of large-scale off-chain payment networks (e.g., Bitcoin's lightning network) and other scaling solutions."

    I was recently logged out of my LoafWallet because of the update on my phone. I have the paper-key written down in two seperate places, both the same, and I am positive that I wrote them down correctly incase something like this ever happened.

    When I enter the 12 words, LoafWallet tells says "the paper key you entered is invalid. Please double-check each word and try again". I have tried the BIP39 method which just tells me I have a "Invalid mnemonic".

    I have checked my wallet on Electrum-ltc as I have the address and my coins are still there. I've emailed LoafWallet support a few times with no response as well as losh11 but he has since stop responding - I presume he must be busy with the same issue from others (?)

    What else can I do? I've not got a big amount in there but certainly enough to be disappointed if I can't get back in.

    So I was logged out of my account on my phone. Needed to use my key. Used key. Accounts empty with no previous transactions....

    Did I do something wrong? Am I missing a step? I don't understand

    Also, I emailed their support 2 days ago and have yet to get a reply. Not unusual but worth mentioning

    Is it still the same ACH process as deposits, taking anywhere from 5 to 10 days? Or are withdrawals from gdax into my bank account faster?

    Cryptonym: Local Crypto Wallet that doesn't store anything

    Offline command-line wallet that doesn't store anything on disc. Supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether, Litecoin, Stellar Lumen and ERC20 tokens. All you need is a 12 word mnemonic phrase (can be generated from the app) that lets you generate the public and private keys for your accounts. This supports HD wallets that lets you create a new address for every transaction (for bitcoin, bitcoin cash and litecoin). This will only lets you receive coins and check balance. To send coins, you need to export the private keys from this application and use it in dedicated wallets.
