Posted: 29 Apr 2018 08:50 PM PDT Guys, put a post out a couple of weeks ago and still in the same spot. Around the 1st of April it seemed like Comcast started to packet inspection/filtering. It is not a port issue. Anyone out there having trouble? I had to resort to using a VPN to get past Comcast. Not a big deal but still pisses me off. Mining is not a high bandwidth operation. Just seems like another crackdown by "the man". Anybody out there have same problems with Comcast, Cox, etc??? [link] [comments]

Rig can only mine monero, crashes on ethereum Posted: 29 Apr 2018 11:36 PM PDT Anyone encountered this issue before? I have an 8gpu RX 580 4Gb rig on the ASUS B250 mobo, 4gb ram and G3930 cpu. Been mining Ethereum for a couple months on this, recently had a crash on the rig and restarted it. Ever since then I get a blue screen error with Video TDR failure whenever I try to mine Ethereum, however it runs fine mining Monero. I use claymore for both, on windows 10. Driver has been reinstalled multiple times, risers and GPU individually plugged in to check theres nothing wrong( actually was able to mine Ethereum stable with 5 Gpus), also swapped the ram out for a new one, switched the psu to my backup new psu. Im out of ideas...maybe the mobo has finally given up on me? [link] [comments]
Just finished my first rig: 7x RX 580 Sapphire cards + question about undervolting Posted: 29 Apr 2018 11:58 AM PDT Hi everyone, just wanted to share as it took me quite some research until I figure out the entire setup. The cards are Sapphire Nitro 8GB with stock overclock. MB is Asus Prime Z270-A. Everything is powered by 2x 750W Thermaltake Rome. I am using Ubuntu 16.04 server and getting a stable 27.3 MH/s using claymore 11.1. I can add two more cards via the M.2 slots but am waiting for the extenders to arrive. Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/tDEJly4 If you are considering the same setup, I can answer any questions. The last thing I want to do is undervolt the cards, but I am wondering if anyone has been able to do that successfully via the linux command line? Perhaps using OhGodATool or similar? Error 87 in Nicehash - unstable rig issues Posted: 29 Apr 2018 04:45 PM PDT My rig has 5 AMD RX580s that have been bios modded using the tutorial on https://mining.help/ I had no issues for several months, all cards getting 29.5 MHs using claymore (eth+decred). I took my rig offline to mine other coins for a bit but now my rig has become unstable - showing error 87 in claymore and hangs. All I can think is that the current version of Nicehash 1.8.1.11) has issues with modded Bios's because It seems to be working fine with the stock bios. Does anyone know if modded bios no longer work currently in Nicehash? is there an older, more stable version I can revert back to? Error message is: Watchdog: gpu 1 hangs in opencl call, exit Quit, please wait... Restarting failed, error 87 Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Have free electricity, $625, and three GPU's already mining. Should I buy more GPU's or buy Crypto? Posted: 29 Apr 2018 09:19 AM PDT I currently have 1 GTX 1060, 1 RX 570 and 1 RX Vega 64 Mining Ethereum right now. I have all of the risers and a 1600w PSU so I can add more GPU's to my system (I would be waiting to buy for MSRP, two weeks tops). I'm thinking of mining some brand new altcoins for some good returns, but I'm also thinking of the fact that brand new GPU's from Nvidia are on the horizon and I would rather have the newest hardware in case I want to sell. This makes me want to just buy some Litecoin or Ethereum and HODL and sell for new GPU's once they come out. What do you guys think I should do? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Apr 2018 10:49 AM PDT A lot of transactions needing 5-50 gwei lately, before usually good with 2 and mines within 30 sec now taking 3-8 minutes? Is this a sign that the market is starting to heat up again like 6 months ago due to increased use. [link] [comments]
