WU has been working with ripple since '15. They are clearly well versed with Xrapid, the pilot is just a formality. They have obviously been testing it privately for the past 7 months of beta. They wouldn't announce a pilot if they had any doubts residing from their 3 years working together.

Trading Psychology with XRP: How to lose money without worry

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 06:15 AM PDT

Each day, I see people worrying about their investment. One type tries to reinforce reasons to stay in, while others express frustration or even throw in the towel and rage quit.

Allowing emotion into your investment mindset can lead to needless worry, sleepless nights, and ultimately sabotage your investment. Speaking from experience here, you will lose money on mid to high risk investments whether you worry about it or not.

I wanted to share how I lose money without worrying about it. I believe this to be the mindset required to make money, or at least prevent you from sabotoging your investment plan or mental health.

Here's the plan. Nothing fancy about it. Just determine what you're getting into, before you get into it.

    • 1. Define the trading plan
    • 2. Determine the probability, max win, max loss
    • 3. Decide to execute
    • 4. Let it play out

For an XRP HODL plan, it might look something like this:

    • 1. Spend $x each month while XRP is below $y, until I reach my target of $z. HODL and reassess 4/1/2019. Oh, and cash out if XRP hits $a.
    • 2. Probability: Unknown - Max win: Undefined - Max loss: $y * $z.
    • 3. Yes, I really am OK with losing $y * $z, Let's do this!
    • 4. Stick with the plan that your decision in step 3 was based on.

In this case, it's impossible to define the probability or max win, but the item that causes the most worry, max loss, is crystal clear.

In step 3, you made an informed decision on how much you were willing to lose. Consider that money 100% gone! If you're not comfortable with that thought, then decide not to execute.

If you accept the risk and decide to execute, then all that's left is to let the trade play out. Enjoy price analysis, fundamentals discussion, and ability to think clearly without the emotional baggage a negative position can bring.

Keep emotion in check even as price gets higher. Positive emotion can also sabotage you by increasing expectations and the amount you are willing to lose along with it. Nothing wrong with modifying the plan here. Take profits, adjust your max loss, or continue as planned. If you continue as planned, make sure you are still OK with losing it all.

If you are fretting over a price dip, then maybe you weren't being truthful with yourself when you decided how much you were willing to lose. Over a long term plan, life can change, and it's entirely possible the amount you're willing to lose changes.

Whether you put in more than you were actually willing to lose, or if life just changed, if you become uncomfortable with losing it all, then you should cash out while there's still anything left. Don't get caught up in emotion like FOMO. Just get out. It's the responsible thing to do.

I'm well invested in XRP, I am in the red, and I still follow my trading plan.

I have no worries. It's not because I'm positive that we're going to moon, it's because I made the decision for how much I was willing to lose before putting it in.

Replace XRP with anything else you're thinking about investing in, and this thread is still relevant.

If this resonates with you, bookmark and revisit when price movement drags your emotions along with it.

Would there be unwanted repercussions if XRP mooned?

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 10:10 PM PDT

Say XRP went up by 35,000% again this year, and now it cost $350. Would that many people becoming millionaires, or close to it, somehow cause problems? Also, seveval people (IDK how many?) would become almost multi-Trillionaires, if my math is right. This certainly seems like it could create some sort of chaos, which makes me doubt it could actually happen. Are there any reasons that some person or company would want or need to surpress the price of XRP?

Get ready for the bungee bounce!!, anytime now, excited to see how far the rebound is after this new drop.

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 07:32 PM PDT

Anytime now we should see the bungee bounce, should happen within the next 48 hours, but looks like its closing in on any minute, the volume is getting into the low zone like it usually does before the drop, as my price prediction the other day goes, will see roughly .42 to .46 range, then should hopefully have a nice bounce back, its what I have been waiting on and is what you should be paying attention to, for those that care about the short term price.

If the bounce is only .15 or .20 then don't get to hyped as it will probably continue to another new low in the next 10 days or so, but if its significant say .40 bounce taking us past .80 then that is a good sign of a possible reversal, Hoping on the big bounce!!

    Uphold help.

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 07:09 PM PDT

Maybe someone knows. I Couldn't find a support feature where I could get some help.

How does one increase the deposit/buy limit on Uphold? $500usd is not going to be enough.

    Is there tiers of verification?

I mean thank Jebus I can go straight USD to XRP but when I buy, I want to buy. I wanted to buy now but I also wanted money in the USD card so I could just start doing instant transfers to xrp later.

    Thanks for your help.
