Reddit Drops BTC Payment Option We Need To Ask them To Accept LITECOIN!

LTC is not silver. It is programmable tech with TONS of a potential, not just payments (same potential as BTC)

    Posted: 28 Mar 2018 01:35 AM PDT

We've read what Charlie's vision for Litecoin is, but what's the vision for the other devs?

Few things need to be said:

First off it's wrong to call Litecoin silver. As much as I think Charlie is among the best engineers in the world, I think it's really unnecessary and untrue to label LTC silver when its not a metal, its a programmable technology. Doing so brands it as second-rate, a testnet (as described publically by winklevoss twins, among others), and to use Mike Novogratz' CNBC description, it's a "Poor mans Bitcoin"... Calling it silver hurts a lot of its potential. Litecoin devs should feel free to OWN THEIR BALLS, own the tremendous opportunity they have with a number 5 market cap coin and really pushing it to its maximum potential in whats possible for it. Devs, you're sitting on a billion dollar, major cryptocurrency, not a shitcoin...OWN IT. IT'S YOURS. Its open source after all.

Also, in a space where every single cryptocurrency can be used to pay someone, emphasizing it being only for payments is limiting, and is selling it short of its full range of possibilities for what its capable of doing. If you look at Bitcoin there are many great projects building on top of it and the same could be done with Litecoin. Lets seek out and plan to implement similar projects.

The community should be more informed in knowing Litecoins possibilities (they are the same as Bitcoin) and being more engaged in proposing that LTC devs take a look at and discuss them more on twitter and reddit to expose the ideas and updates to as many people as possible.

Also think we should set up some sort of monthly crowdfunding campaign to try to hire more help in development and maybe even hire some intelligent and respected youtubers in the space to act as proxy spokesmen. People like IvanOnTech would be amazing.

EDIT: As long as we keep calling it silver and aren't proposing anything unique to Litecoin, people will always dismiss it, brush it off as that whatever Bitcoin copy. Devs, should be more vocal about their ideas for Litecoin and their vision too.

    Litecoin community

    Posted: 28 Mar 2018 07:23 AM PDT

With over 196k followers to the reddit Litecoin community, I'm frankly very disappointed in this community. As an investor who's repeatedly reached out to the community, Litecoin foundation, and Charlie to see how I can help Litecoin grow, I've only received one response. He's an LTC developer from Switzerland or Sweden named Espen. He said someone else will follow up with me. No one ever did even though I continued to reach out to Espen. I'm grateful that someone actually replied and took me seriously but unfortunately no follow-through on the other end.

I read Litecoin's reddit daily and I'm sick and tired of reading about the newbie's who are down money or how Charlie is a thief who sold at ATH or the kids with their screen names referring to weed or drugs making stupid comments on legitimate threads. That's a shitty community, not a good one.

I just want to truly help and just need a little guidance. I'm not a tech guy. I'm a finance guy and I'm willing to help however I can. I do my part on spreading the word on cryptocurrencies but that's not enough. I want to do more.

Listen, cryptocurrencies is the future of banking and as an investor I want to do everything in my power to help Litecoin succeed and play a huge part of banking in the future. Unfortunately, this community (vast majority) is in it for themselves and their amusement and really doesn't take Litecoin seriously. Sure I'm in this to make money but honestly it's a much bigger than that for me. I want to be able to contribute/help Litecoin as cryptocurrencies become more mainstream. Basically I want to be able to contribute to society by helping with the adaptation of a cryptocurrency I believe in.

Unfortunately, no one takes me seriously except for one developer named Espen for about 2 minutes. If anyone in Litecoin land can provide me some guidance of how I can help, please reach out. I'm even willing to give up my 6 figure salary to work on Litecoin full time if it makes sense for me to do so. Thank you.

    Litecoin Day #April

    Posted: 28 Mar 2018 05:58 AM PDT

I continue my evangelism. (See https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/77jndj/we_need_to_all_start_using_litecoin_more_maybe_we/)

Litecoin is a currency to use not to hoard so go out there and exchange ltc with your friends, family and business associates for random stuff.

If some want to be paid in ltc thats even better but dont expect the mainstream to flood into a bear market and take your ltc from you.

Plan a real world ltc transaction for the 1st of April ! Cheers

    Best advice from today’s threads.

    Posted: 27 Mar 2018 07:31 PM PDT

    1. You don't lose until you sell.
    2. Zoom out on the charts. This blip is nothing.
    3. Litecoin will probably go down even more, but that's ok it's a great opportunity to buy.
    4. If you can't handle the dip DO NOT sell, HODL. Which could include deleting reddit and any apps related to crypto for a few months until 3rd and 4th quarter hit.
    5. Last but definitely not least; only buy what you can afford to lose. This applies to any stock investment as well, especially in this market.

    Will Work for Litecoin

    Posted: 27 Mar 2018 07:53 PM PDT

Hey guys, this is my first post ever on Reddit, so I hope I am doing this right. I am a huge fan of cryptos, with LTC being my main one. I want to contribute to the ecosystem by accepting LTC as a payment for my services, but everyone I propose the idea to, has no clue what I am talking about. How can I find a way to reach clients, who are also litecoin users. Everyone been pretty secretive that they hold cryptos. If its going to be used as currency, then we need to get it moving around a little.

I am a voice over artist and will voice or narrate anything like scripts, books, youtube videos, trainings etc. I will offer huge discounts for payment in litecoin as well. Can you guys suggest a way to get the word out to people? I am lost but want to do my part. Thanks for any advice. -M
