Now We Know Who Sold the Bottom at $6k And Tried To Crash Bitcoin - Spoiler alert: it was Mt.Gox trustee

    Posted: 07 Mar 2018 07:21 AM PST

Basically trying to predict anything right now.

If I owned Amazon I would quietly make a reasonable offer to buy the rest of the BTC from the Mt Gox Committee then start accepting Bitcoin on my site.

Want to hunt down 430k BTC from MTGox? Here is the Address

    Posted: 07 Mar 2018 05:59 PM PST

Is there a way to ask this Mtgox trustee guy to use an OTC desk next time (or do an auction like the FBI did with Silk Road's 144,336 BTC)? And to NOT do market dumps (like doing 16k to 10k in a single red candle)?

Perspective: The 35,000 coins sold from MtGox are equivalent to 19.4 days of mining reward. The remaining coins of MtGox are equivalent to 93 days of mining reward.

1 satashi/byte transaction ($0.01) just went through. Feels like the good old days.

    Posted: 07 Mar 2018 09:49 PM PST

It did take almost 7 hours, tho.

Edit: Clarification - the fee for the entire transaction was approx one penny.

Is the MTGOX lawyer the dumbest person in crypto?

    Posted: 08 Mar 2018 12:25 AM PST

One: dumps on the regular market and not OTC, which would have given him/his clients a much better price and leaving the remaining BTC that also don't belong to him at a higher valuation.

Two: if for whatever reason he absolutely must market order dump, why not Bcash and Bgold and maybe a few other fork-shitcoins before? Again, this would have left the BTC at a higher valuation, which as I understand the legal situation, is part of his job (i.e. getting the best deal for his client).

Can someone contact him and advise him how to not be a complete whale-moron?

Twitter is doing nothing so I made a CryptoScamAlert bot. It auto-posts on binance_2017, officialmcafee, and cz_binance. What other accounts should it follow?

Why is the Mt. Gox guy selling on exchanges?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2018 07:59 PM PST

For the amount of BTC he is trying to unload, why would he ever sell on an exchange? Would he instead look for large investors to whom he can sell large sums at a discount without tanking the price? Is this yet more evidence that he is trying to tank the market for his own gain?

Edit: I say "more evidence" because of the evidence that already exists in the form of the timing of those first couple dips, the futures markets, and the Mt. Gox super-sales that apparently happened at the same time. I know it sounds like conspiracy FUD, but I'm even wondering now whether and to what degree (and direction) the American and Japanese governments and stock markets might be involved.

Bitcoin isn't the wild west. The world is.

    Posted: 07 Mar 2018 08:10 AM PST

People who lost their BTC on MT GOX only get fiat back in their claims years later. Yet, the guy who was responsible to safeguard their BTC gets his claim back in BTC after it's appreciated a million percent.

That's called corruption. That's called the Wild West. Bitcoin is not responsible for this. It's letting people have control of your money. Lesson learned. Do not let ANYBODY control your money. Not banks, the fed, bitcoin exchanges, etc. NOBODY.

For all we know, the Japan govt may be using Mark Karpeles as a patsy and is selling the hundreds of thousands of bitcoins to THEMSELVES. Gotta wonder why KOBE STEEL scandal came out recently amidst Trump tarriffs on steel which affect Japan YUGELY. also japan is like the 2nd most indebted nation in the world behind the USA
