One of the first Ethereum ICOs DigixDAO achieves unicorn status ($1b market cap)! Posted: 28 Feb 2018 03:18 AM PST An amazing milestone for one of the original ICOs. According to their last update "We still plan to launch our marketplace for DGX end Q1 2018." https://medium.com/@Digix/digix-dev-update-27th-feb-2018-uat-ux-specialist-national-university-of-singapore-talk-3f8a69eac1a4. FAQ: https://medium.com/@Digix/digix-faq-deaf53fcc1e8 Looking forward to a successful launch and to see other DApps come online in the Ethereum ecosystem this year! [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Feb 2018 07:12 AM PST So, I suspect someone is scanning ens to snag any that aren't revealed or any that have a minimum bid, so they can hold them for ransom. I was messing with ens when I learned about it and put a minimum bid on one nobody should have an interest in (I didn't want to do one that would be useful to others since I was just playing with ens to learn how it works). I was busy so forgot to reveal my bid in time so went to check on it and see what I should do next. I was surprised to see that someone owns the name now; somebody bid on it! Well, now I'm curious. How does one go about finding out how much they want for the name? Reopen a bidding? I'm just curious what these scammers are making on this gig more than anything else; I don't plan on buying the name from them. Cheers! [link] [comments]

Brainstorm - Identity Verification Posted: 28 Feb 2018 05:37 PM PST Hi all, Identity is something that many people might want to keep out of crypto, but there are some instances where identity verification could be quite useful. But how can it be done? Twitter does it on a piecemeal basis using their own judgement. Corporate and government entities can do it because they have a database of, or people give them access to, unique documentation like government-issued IDs. Reddit AMAs use a combination of photo-documentation (for public figures) and the discretion of the mods through one-on-one communication. This all stems from a centralized authority. Will there ever be a way to do identity verification in a decentralized way without first submitting to a centralized arbiter or a group thereof? If so, what might be done? If not, what's the next best thing? [link] [comments]
Question about Blocksize and Geth Posted: 28 Feb 2018 04:01 PM PST I thought after the release of geth 1.8, the uncle size would dramatically decrease and this would render more block size possible, but neither of my suppositions were true. Why did this not happen? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2018 03:36 PM PST I have a question about how an Ethereum's investor earns with an ICO release and in the day by day. All the transactions will be made with the ICO token except the GAS to run the contract, but this GAS is destined to pay the computer processor. Am I right? [link] [comments] |
