I want to learn cryptography - good place to start? Posted: 25 Feb 2018 10:26 AM PST I am a 30 year old medical doctor with a passion for challenges and puzzles since I can remember myself. I finally have some free time and looking to learn something new. Maybe you guys here can recommend me a book (can be a textbook or a nonfiction book) or other resource to start from. I have a really basic understanding about algorithms and math. Thank in advance for any help :) [link] [comments] |
Difference between KPA and COA Posted: 25 Feb 2018 05:26 PM PST What's really the difference between a knownplaintext attack and a ciphertextonly attack? I mean, I know that in the former the adversary has access to the plaintext but in the end they'll have to perform an exhaustive key search anyway so what's the advantage of the KPA? As far as I understand they might be equally laborious, what do you think? [link] [comments] |
What is your preferred encryption algorithm? Posted: 25 Feb 2018 02:53 PM PST I have seen a lot of varying opinions, I am curious what your opinions are reddit. [link] [comments] |
