Its 20°, My furnace is broken. Who cares.. Posted: 02 Dec 2017 01:10 AM PST I love this, last year around this time my furnace died and i was stuck in a place that was sub 35 at times until i finally fixed it. Id lay near the fireplace to even stay remotely warm.. And now here i am again. Furnace issues for over 2 weeks. And i don't even care. (Saving money in the regard of not paying for gas) Mining is so excellent.. I have 2 6Card rigs and a 2card PC. My main rig which is 6x sapphire 580, blows heat like nothing else. I live in a 1300sq foot condo with 20 ft ceilings, and the main rig is in a room upstairs (that room gets to 80 easy..) the heat comes out and is immeadiately pushed through the entire condo by a ceiling fan.. I have a 2 card PC running in my room which does well enough to keep it warm. And the other 6 card is downstairs in an office room which conviently is totally cut open on the top and exposed to the living area downstairs, therefore helping keep the whole place warm. As long as its over 20 i can maintain a warm place.. id say in a month or so when its SubZero, that would be an issue... but it wont be because i have another 6 card rig coming.. Id say the one flaw is they dry out the air. But 2 15$ humidifiers got that solved. Just spreading my love for my rigs keeping me warm. I now feel an connection with these machines. I know they care. Soon Private management with mining hardware what make a centralised "mining router" Later this year or Q1 2018 we will launch our ICO. Our plan is to make a full automatic mining OS. We want to build own mining hardware's too (mining router, asic miners and lot more).. Take the mining to the next level! Maximizing GPU settings for Lyra2 on 1080 Posted: 02 Dec 2017 06:52 AM PST I've got 2 1080s right now on Nicehash running at 80% power, +280 mem,+ 50 core. For Lyra, is core clock or mem more important? I'm probably going to go ahead and bump them up to 100% power just for the extra performance while nicehash is paying out like a mofo, I'm a little curious though how NH gives 56 mh/s on Lyra for 1080s and mine are only pulling 45 at those settings. Quick advice needed - Risers Molex or Sata Posted: 02 Dec 2017 06:06 AM PST I purchase some new risers and i'm unsure if I should power via my Sata or Molex cable and what's best practice for safety? The cards are Vega 64 LC so they're pulling some power. I have two EVGA P2 1600 so power isn't an issue nor spare cables.. I've heard sata should never be used because they are limited to 4.5amp. Likewise I have setup (not turned on) with two risers to one sata cable - might be incorrect? Quikr flooded with 2nd hand Rx 570/580 and gtx 1080 TI and they are cheap, any idea why? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 06:45 PM PST Edit: So wanted to post on Reddit India, no idea how this ended up here? Updated prices to $ equivalents. I have been wanting to upgrade my R9 270x for a while and when Vega was released and I saw its pricing I decided to go with Rx 570 and then the whole gpu shortage happened. So I was just looking for a used GPU that might be worth getting and saw someone selling Rx 570 for ~130$ and I was like nope. But then I saw a few more listings and then I saw gtx 1080 ti listings for 380 to 420 $! 1080 are going for 200$! I started bookmarking all listings and then they started showing up as sold, I ordered an Rx 570 and am praying it turns out alright. But is there any reason there are so many expensive cards listed in the last 2 days, I am tempted to order the gtx 1080ti for this price but this all seems to good to be true. The only positive thing is that the seller that I have ordered from has started raising the price and is now around 180$ per Rx 570 card. Update: Most 570 and 580 are sold. But 1080, 1070 ti, 1080 ti and even Titan X are still available. Attaching a screenshot of the 1080, 1080ti and titan x that are still left in my bookmarks, there still many more listings. Update: Canceled order, as Quikr doesn't offer return policy for inter city sales and asked me to talk to the dealer himself, I choose not too and canceled the order and will order from a local guy. Replacing 1070s with rx570, asking for advice Posted: 02 Dec 2017 03:22 AM PST Hi i have 2 zotac amp extreme gtx 1070s that i want to replace them with rx570s to increase revenue i'll sell the 1070s for around 1000$ and get 3 of the sapphire nitro+ rx570 4gb these are the current hashrates of my rig ZCash: 980 sol/s Eth: 65MH/s XMR: cant even find a proper miner the expected hashrates after changing the cards(oced and bios modded) ZCash: 880 sol/s Eth: 88MH/s + 2100MH/s DCR XMR: 2100H/s nicehash calculator shows that overall profitability over the past month is higher for the 3 rx cards what are your opinions? Whats considered "high electrical cost"? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 09:15 PM PST Everybody talks about cheap power. Im charged (currently) $0.102 USD per kWh. What are you getting charged? Whats high? Whats low (not free)? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Dec 2017 11:11 PM PST Hello, from many threads that Asus z270 prime series(A, P, AR) does not support 8 Vega with Blockchain driver. I am expecting 8 cards and have a Z270 A prime. I have been successfully getting 9 GPUs to work on those mobos to mine with Rx 400/500 series as well as Nvidia 1070s. Usually what I do is disable some onboard devices like audio, disable fast boot, change all PCIe speed to GEN 2 and of course enable 4 G encoding.. pretty basic stuff if you have experience mining eth with them. I really love those boards, they are stable and solid. I just wanted to see if anyone has been successfully to get 8 vegas to work at 1900-2000 h/s?? I'm trying to figure out if this is an issue that can be solved by change bios settings? Thank you I appreciated your inputs!! Sorry to cross post, really trying to get an answer, and the truth for everyone. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Dec 2017 02:13 AM PST Hi guys, In my country this motherboard is with discount and I am thinking in buy it. For now I want to make a simple 3 card rig and later expand to 6. My question is about the PCI-E 1x slot, the graphics card will work fine in that slot without the riser? Thanks in advance [link] [comments]

8 pin PCIE/molex extension cables safe? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 09:39 PM PST Basically the cables from my case don't reach out very far at all, and the third GPU I'm getting in a few days won't fit in my case. So I'd need some kind of way to lengthen both my 8 pin PCIE cable and my molex cable. Are these safe to use for mining? I only want to extend using 8 pin to 8 pin PCIE and molex to molex cables. The riser I plan to use is a ver 005 molex with the molex from my PSU plugged straight into the riser. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

free electricity, need gpu miner for mutual benefit Posted: 01 Dec 2017 08:43 PM PST Let's say someone has free high voltage electricity at their place but no resources to mine any cryptocurrency. Is there a group interested to sell a gpu miner or use their electricity for mutual benefit? Also noise will not be an issue since no one lives there. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Dec 2017 07:43 PM PST High! So my 1070 pulls easy 32MhS on ethereum. My question is this. I can safely say that the card's core makes no difference on mining speed between 1600Mhz and 2050Mhz. Problem is that my power target is at 50% and max temp at 60 degrees but no matter what, the card will go up to 1900Mhs where it hits that 60 degrees spot and stays there. Is there a way to force the card to stay at 1500 core for example and having much lower temps as a result? Thanks! [link] [comments]
PCIe extender/splitter problem Posted: 01 Dec 2017 07:22 PM PST I currently have my risers powered by SATA, and have heard that is a possible problem. So I bought some PCI-e extender/splitters so that I could power the risers. The PCI-e cables that came with my power supply (4 of them) look like this image. It's male to male with 2 connections coming out of one end, which I plug into the two power inputs on each VEGA-56. The PCIe Y splitters that I bought have 8 slots as shown above, but the holes for the +2 part on the female side don't line up. The square and rounded holes are basically reversed, but not inverse, so there's no way to plug the +2 section from my existing male cables into the female end of the Y splitter. Oddly enough, the male ends of the Y splitter have 2 rounded bits for that +2 section, so they can still plug into the VEGAs. So, I'm not terribly versed with power supplies and these PCI-e cables. Is it safe to just plug in the 6 pin part coming from the power supply into the female end of the Y splitter and then plug the full 8 pins of the 2 male ends of the Y splitter into a VEGA? Or is there a better way to go about this? Or do I just need to find the correct splitters, and if so, what should I look for in the name/description to know it's the right kind of PCI-e splitter? RX Vega Causing System Crashes While Mining With different GPUs. Posted: 01 Dec 2017 05:23 PM PST My two RX 570's work perfectly fine when it's just the two of them mining, but when I start mining with my RX Vega also, system crashes will occur randomly, anywhere from 1 minute to an hour but it always happens. The RX Vega works fine when it is mining by itself also. I've tried updating to the latest AMD Drivers, disabled Crossfire, enabled compute mode, tried mining on different cryptocurrencies, swapped power supplies, used different PCIe slots. and the problem persists. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am on Windows 10 64bit With an ASUS B350-F Motherboard, I have an EVGA 1200w and nothing is overclocked, this issue occurs with Nicehash Miner Legacy and any other miner I try to use. comino.io reviews about their water cooled rig? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 05:04 PM PST I am thinking of buying it but does someone have any read flags about this company etc? My main prob is the noise that's why I am thinking about it. The price/Mh seems reasonable. [link] [comments]
Claymore dual miner keeps crashing Posted: 01 Dec 2017 04:28 PM PST Windows 10 8GB ram (6) GTX1070s setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal myetheraddresshere.minernamehere/emailaddresshere@gmail.com -epsw x -mode 1 -ftime 10 Everything worked fine for months and then today it crashed. I checked the log and see the following errors 19:14:38:585 1a10 This pool (eth-asia1.nanopool.org) does not support Ethereum addresses as login (or requires worker name in "Login.Worker" format) and cannot be used for devfee mining, therefore it is not supported. 19:14:38:590 1a10 However, you can mine on this pool if you specify "-allpools 1" option, default pools (different from this pool) will be used for devfee. 19:14:38:597 1a10 Please read "Readme" file for details I am not even signed up for that pool. Also this error Socket was closed remotely (by pool) ETH: Connection lost, retry in 20 sec... It keeps doing the connection lost over and over. Any help? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Dec 2017 12:37 PM PST When my rig is ready I want to get it into our cellar because nobody cares about the noise there and temps are cooler. So it can get really cold in there especially in winter, is there a "too cold" for gpus? Also the cellar is a little bit wet and so is the air in there its not dramatic at all but could this harm my rig in any way? Thx for your time an knowledge :D [link] [comments]
