Posted: 29 Dec 2017 09:25 PM PST Quite the opposite. Do you know what people are buying Ripple with? USD? No. Eth and BTC. Do you know who holds most of the ripple in this world? Who's selling it? Banks. What we're witnessing is the reversing of the massive wealth transfer. The banks KNOW that they can't kill Eth and BTC, now they need to get as much of it as possible. They don't want to pay full price. Their plan? Develop XRP, Hold most of it.. artificially manipulate the price by bidding it up, $2, $3... When retards think it will keep going $4, $5... they are trading precious LIMITED decentralised Ethereum and BTC... for a shitcoin that can be printed on a whim. In the end the banks will win. They will end up holding most of the Ethereum and BTC.. You will end up holding most of the XRP.. and that's when Macafee's prophecy will occur. BTC will head to 1M, Eth to $500k per coin... and you'll be holding Ripple, basically pegged to the USD valued from $0.5 to $1.50 per coin. Rich always get richer anon. Even if you start out with more money than ((them))) theyl'l end up with more money than you. [link] [comments]

XRP way overhyped. Huge correction coming. Posted: 29 Dec 2017 04:48 PM PST Just doing some simple calculations, the numbers seem to show that the current XRP price is way too overhyped. Statistics/Assumptions Total xrp supply: 100Bn xrp held by Ripple: 63Bn xrp in escrow (held by Ripple): 55Bn xrp held by community: 37Bn Assuming ripple transactions will completely replace all SWIFT transactions, which it is still far from doing, the daily SWIFT transaction volume is $5 trillion. This is a big assumption as xrp is currently only used by a few banks in limited trial phase which has caused the current jump). What the numbers show $5 trillion per day Seconds per day: 60x60x24 = 86,400 $5Tn/86,400 = $57,870,370 per second Ripple CEO has boasted that xrp transactions only take 3 seconds compared to swift which takes a few days. This means after it settles, it is just sitting there idly available for use. To be conservative, using the lower number of 37Bn xrp in circulation $173,611,111 per 3 seconds divided by 37Bn is $0.00469219, or about 0.47cents Compared to a price of over $2.50, this means more than 99.8% of the currency is just sitting there idly unused. At the current price people hoarding it for speculative investment (HODLers) with only 0.2% utilising it for actual transactions. Hype correction coming? If any of the numbers/assumptions are way off, feel free to discuss the appropriate adjusted price. [link] [comments]
While it may only do one thing, Raiblocks does it so damn well! Posted: 29 Dec 2017 11:44 PM PST It just baffles me how instantaneous the transfers are, despite all the increased traffic. There arent any bells or whistles at the moment, but moving any amount of money around for free and instantaneously represents the primary function that peaked my interest to begin with. AAntonopoulos had me fully sold on Bitcoin, but the fees and wait times made it unusable, so I switched to Litecoin, then to dash, then to IOTA, then back to dash, now to Raiblocks. It's so refreshing to be away from the BTC BCH drama and to be taking part in the very early stages of what will almost certainly be the future of digital currencies. Having a feeless, instant currency that is already functional should have everybody fist bumping. Is this not what we all wanted? Borderless, decentralized, permissionless, global, instantaneous, free, and secure digital currency! [link] [comments]

Bitgrail needs to make a formal apology... This is absolutely unacceptable. Posted: 30 Dec 2017 01:27 AM PST Bitgrail wasn't hacked, there was a bug with their order books that allowed the market manipulation seen with XRB today. Huge sell orders being sold to a bid at the same price instead of going through all the buy orders. Summed up and explained well in the thread below. I understand that they have taken the site down in order to fix this? but it caused thousands of people to lose a lot of money all because 1 whale with some technical knowledge/insider information at bitgrail decided to fuck with Raiblocks investors. Just look at the chart in one of the top posts over at r/raitrade. Please don't call this a shill post, just look at the facts here and what happened, I would be saying the same thing regardless of the coin, I know money went into ripple like crazy but this is nothing but a fuck up on bitgrails end. Thank fuck Kucoin is picking it up soon and hopefully some other decent exchanges so we can boycott these fucks. https://www.reddit.com/r/RaiTrade/comments/7n0ou8/an_explanation_of_how_the_shitshow_that_youve/ [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Dec 2017 04:55 PM PST First of all congrats to those that have made money in Ripple. But with it now passing Ethereum I want to share a few thoughts. If Bitcoin has issues next year and or Ripple continues to grow, it could take the #1 spot. So much for the decentralised anonymous blockchain revolution... I got into crypto to get away from the banks and take control of my money. All I read from the corporate owned mainstream media is positive articles about Ripple. Does that strike you as odd when all they can publish about decentralised Bitcoin is negative articles??? Ethically you will never see me touch Ripple. Do you really want to live in a world where the banks control crypto??? Cheers, Nugget's News Youtube [link] [comments]
The FUD on XRP is just absurd on this subreddit Posted: 30 Dec 2017 12:39 AM PST I don't know if you guys are just jaleous because your investment is going down or didn't get in when it was cheap or if you are just that guy that loves to join the crowd whenever something is hated. If you don't like the coin, ignore it and move on with your life. EDIT: wow by just downvoting me instead of making this a good discussion you guys just prove my point. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Dec 2017 05:15 PM PST A lot of people have been asking, "Why do we need a new token for paying out bounties instead of using BTC, ETH, LTC, etc.. ?" The BNTY token is used as a form of peer review, or "governance". Essentially, people can bet, or "stake", their BNTY on the legitimacy of a Bounty and if it checks out, they are rewarded with more BNTY. People can also bet on BNTY responses as well. This incentivizes the community to bring the best bounties to the forefront. The biggest use for this platform is for ICO's so it's actually a great system to sift through all the posts, as we all know some ICO's can be sketchy. Here's an example: "Bounty for information leading to arrest of EtherDelta hacker. Bounty0x Dec 27, 2017 - Feb 25, 2018 https://twitter.com/TommyWorldPower I am placing a $100,000 bounty (payable in any major crypto), for information or efforts leading to the arrest and prosecution of the Etherdelta hacker and return of my funds. If anyone knows who it is, we can keep your identity secret. " and another one: "Nov 11, 2017 - Feb 01, 2018 https://blog.ethfinex.com/nectar-token-bug-bounty-b461d55b971c As we approach the launch of Ethfinex and the Nectar token, we are now running an open bug bounty program for the Ethereum community to analyse our token contracts. The Nectar token contracts have been published on Github and are available for review here. Rewards Note or Low: Up to 5 ETH Medium: Up to 15 ETH High or Critical: Up to 30 ETH" [link] [comments] |
