The CME starting Bitcoin Futures trading on the 18th is the best thing to ever happen to Bitcoin Cash

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 08:00 AM PST

    • Futures basically act like a powerful hypnotic meta-suggestion to the market of its potential direction and range over the next 24 hours. And since it will be institutional money setting these futures, it will basically be as if institutional money had its own orderbook on each exchange that anyone could see. Who's going to be dumb enough to bet against where the institutional money thinks the price is going?
    • And where does the institutional money think the price is going? A decent percentage of wallstreet still think Bitcoin is a scam. And even among those who see value in the long-run, many still agree that it's currently in a bubble. And even among those who don't believe it's in a bubble, no one disputes that it's near its ATH. Your local plumber might be dumb enough to by Bitcoin near its ATH, but definitely not Wallstreet.
    • And this is even before the institutional money has done its due diligence and discovered how handicapped and toxic Bitcoin has become under Blockstream.

    • So at best, Bitcoin returns are going to be dramatically lower from now on. Maybe 100% a year at best. At worst, Bitcoin will get shorted heavily to sub-$6000 levels over the next 6 months and just stay there.

    • As Bitcoin's returns drop, Bitcoin Cash will start to be seen as "the Bitcoin free of institutional money control".

    • In addition, as the toxic effects of Blockstream are finally made public through reports by Wallstreet(good luck censoring those /r/theymos!), Bitcoin Cash will be seen as "the Bitcoin free of Blockstream control".

tl;dr: As a result of Bitcoin Futures, Bitcoin Cash will soon be known as both the "Bitcoin free of institutional money control" and "the Bitcoin free of Blockstream control".

coinpayments.net integrated payment gateway now processing Bitcoin Cash (BCH)

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 05:32 AM PST

A while back the community donated to coinpayments.net via their 'Public Vote' in order to help them implement Bitcoin Cash faster.

While their 'vote history' page does not include an update to show when BCH was implemented, their 'supported coins' page shows that it is.

It looks like our campaign was successful - big thanks to all who contributed, especially those few who contributed a lot to make BCH the #1 currency next in line for implementation.

Hopefully this can help vendors who already use their service, and maybe some who might want to set up.

Why is there so much fluctuation on BitCoin Cash?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:06 PM PST

Curious to know what the reason is. Compared to other coins, it looks like BCH is a lot more volatile.

Thinking of buying another BCH, good time to buy?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 10:56 AM PST

So I've got a nice holding of BCH (imo for where I am financially) and risk management wise of 5.80 BCH.

Seeing the other post about how btc futures could cripple or at least limit the speed at which it increases and thus drive volume into bch, has made me consider more holding longer term as I genuinely see bch riding thousands more.

Would you say right now is an adequate time to buy? I know it's risen back up partially but I still think it could drop, just would like to hear your guys opinion.

    Appreciate it!

    Any good BCH iOS wallet?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:01 PM PST

Hi all. I just started buying BCH and I'd like to know if there's any option to store my coins in an iOS wallet that's safe, secure and updated on a continuous basis.

    Thanks a lot!

Need help claiming BCH. Am I screwed?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 11:45 AM PST

I held BTC in a Mycelium wallet before the hard fork back in August. Due to life circumstances, I did not have the time or wherewithal to claim my BCH until now. That said, I've since moved the BTC that was in the pre hard fork wallet to other wallets and/or shifted to other tokens. I'm using the BIP 39 Mnemonic Code tool to try and sweep BCH from the wallet that used to have BTC in it, into a short term Coinomi wallet, but am starting to think this isn't going to work, as my address is not showing up. I've reached the limits of my technical skill level and am afraid that the current approach is not going to work, and/or I am just screwed out of retrieving my BCH.

Any thoughts, ideas, strategies, or otherwise would be greatly appreciated. Please keep your negative comments to yourself.

Sending failed Ledger Nano S Bitcoin cash error

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 05:15 AM PST

Less and less impressed by the Ledger Nano S daily, first the USB lead provided doesn't work, and now my bitcoincash is stuck in the wallet.

Allow me to explain... I sent some bitcoin cash to my Ledger Nano S yesterday without any problem. Today I am trying to transfer it to bittrex but the wallet app keeps saying sending error after I confirm I want to send on the Ledger itself.

Any advice would be great, so much for spinning a quick profit :(

Any guesses to what will cause Bitcoin Cash's next wave?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2017 11:09 PM PST

For awhile BCH's price was strongly based on BTC's, for a few weeks it was almost a perfectly inverted chart, these past few days that did not hold true. BCH did poorly no matters BTC's condition. This leaves me wondering what will trigger the next wave..? Obviously no one knows, but bragging rights if you're close.

How will miners be rewarded when all coins are mined, only from fees ? Will that up the fees ?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2017 11:30 PM PST

I thought a part of the reward was from creating a new coin or are they now already solely being paid from fees ?
