Petition to get XRP (Ripple) on Coinbase

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 09:34 AM PST

    I have to rant

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 03:46 PM PST

I have a lot of people who are close to me wanting to buy ripple. friends, family, and co workers. I show them the website video and they think wow that's interesting and then 2 days later they ask me how to buy. Since I know them I tell them I'll buy it for them to save them the trouble. Well I started going through my routine and sent some of the bitcoin to the exchange and I'll tell you for 6 dollars it took 5 hours to clear. As soon as it did I sent the XRP to my own wallet and it was there in seconds. Bitcoin really thinks they are going to be able to be used by the world efficiently? I've decided from now on when I buy xrp I'll use ethereum or anything else to do the exchange. Bitcoin was a cool white page experiment but like all experiments we don't get it right the first time. I bet Thomas Edison knows 1000 ways to NOT make a light bulb.

"Now a system like Ripple, equipped with decentralized consensus (and almost real-time because it takes a few seconds per transaction), alleviates the concerns about Bob or Bob's bank's authenticity and functionality, and the use of contingent transfers ensures that if Bob violates the agreement, Alice's fund is reverted back."

For the most part, I like this subreddit but there is a lot of cringy worthy posts lately. Stop being lazy.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 12:58 PM PST

We are not exchange tech support. What's with all the Gatehub is down, Bittrex is down ect? Why would we know that people? Use your heads. 11,000 posts a day about what wallet should I use and where to buy. If you haven't even done enough research on how to get it why the hell are you trying to buy it in the first place? The Ripple website shows you where to get it. So you are telling me that you are trying to invest in something when you haven't even looked at the companies website. That is crazy to me. Stop being lazy.

    New Folks - PLEASE Read.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 09:16 AM PST

While I love it that so many new people want to get involved with XRP, it's a little frustrating to try to follow this sub when the posts are being dominated with questions like:

    • Where do I buy Ripple?
    • How do I buy Ripple?
    • Why should I buy Ripple?
    • Where do I store my Ripple?

All of these questions have been answered NUMEROUS times over the past week. Please read some of the posts before you clog things up with the same old questions. There's also a very good FAQ section on the right hand side of the page that will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about XRP.

This will help keep this sub uncluttered for everyone's enjoyment. Thanks.

    XRP is so stable

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 08:15 PM PST

That even its rebound takes 6 times the time of other cryptos😂

Man i hope this escrow can do something to this cryptos saturated price because if not then the people who consistently push it being a long term holder will be building their castle with tears.

The Fundamental Value of XRP in One Visualization

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 07:06 PM PST

We built a cryptocurrency price tracking site, with real-time updates, a mobile friendly version and some advanced features. Where to now?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 09:48 AM PST

    Hello,

There are quite a few sites showing crypto prices and related data, but I still felt it could be done better. So I worked 3 months with a friend of mine to create CoinVision.io.

We tried to have a fast, mobile friendly frontpage and we think allowing you to star your favorite coins is very useful. Prices update automatically and in real-time as we pull data straight from 36+ exchanges (grows by the day). Finally we put a lot of work in the portfolio and alerting system, although it is still arguably far from perfect.

We'd love to hear some honest feedback!

I've been in Ripple since day 10 cents...

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 08:06 PM PST

But people everywhere keep saying that XRP is a useless coin that does nothing, and that banks just use Ripple tech and not the coins... What do they mean?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 01:21 AM PST

Arrington obviously knows something about ripple or can see its massive potential. Think about it, think about having monster analytics and sharp investors with 100mil in cash. Their risk analysis must be insane. Yet he chose xrp. These are not your everyday cryptokids reading graphs on YouTube. This is the heavyweights starting to check in.

XRP Supply not as huge as you think

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 11:01 AM PST

1.XRP is burning quicker and quicker over time you can already see it if you look at the total amount on xrp charts.

2.Banks and FI will hold alot of XRP for transactions(maybe up to 100Million each Bank).

3.Investors will hold alot of XRP just like you and I do.

4.After mass adoption XRP will burn even quicker due to the amount of transactions. Imagine we could buy stuff online with XRP on amazon or ebay or pay for a ticket or pay for our taxi ride etc.

Imagine three snowballs rolling down the hill

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 05:59 AM PST

There were three snowballs rolling down a hill. Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ripple.

The first snowball (Bitcoin) is already quite big; snow sticks to it fast; it gets bigger quickly but the snow isn't very sticky so sometimes chucks fall off and it gets smaller.

The second snowball (Litecoin) is made of really compact snow, so it's super quick. Snow does stick to it, but it just isn't big enough to get a lot of snow and get really big.

Now the third snowball (Ripple) is a little different: it has roots sticking out like arms; this made it a little slow at the start.

So, what happened to the snowballs?

The Second snowball flew down the hill, turned icey, and never managed to collect enough mass to get big.

The first snowball got really big, too big. It hit a bump and broke apart. First a section fell off; then it quickly broke in half, grinding to a holt.

The third snowball, as different and slow as it was at the beginning, began to collect more and more snow around its roots. More snow collected in the cracks which helped collect more snow, and it became big, bigger, a beast. It hit a bump but the roots kept all the parts together. It's size got big enough to collect all the snow it rolled upon. Finally, it rolled over where the first snowball fell apart and engulfed the lot, collecting all the snow on hill.

edit: the first snowball was filled with tether, which blew away in the wind upon explosion

Finally want to dive in to crypto. Decided to start with Ripple.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 03:01 PM PST

Finally want to dive in to crypto. Decided to start with Ripple. I have submitted verification documents into Bitstamp and I plan to use Ripple desktop wallet. Does anyone know how long the verification process is taking these days? I know they are probably receiving a lot of new users with the current surges in popularity.

What Happens to Ripple if ...

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 04:59 PM PST

Hey guys , it's me again ! I was just wondering what would happen if in the near future we will see a major correction of BTC , talking about 50-80% of value lost , not the 30-36% we've seen so far this year. I heard a lot of people talking about the fact that Ripple is in inverse correlation with Bitcoin , they say it's the hedging of Bitcoin ; if that's thing turns out to be true this could really be the turning point for Ripple and could surpass both ETH and BTC . If it's not the case and BTC drags down all other Crypto included XRP how bad this could it be for the project itself ? Imho it would have no effect whatsoever on the project itself or in the adoption of XRP. In both cases loyal to Ripple till I die !

    Recent Crypto Crash??

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 06:45 PM PST

As we have seen most crypto currencies have experienced significant corrections. However, most of these cryptocurrencies are rebounding very well, some even back to their levels before the correction. All but ripple. TF! In no way, does this shake my confidence in ripple, but it is very frustrating to see this market correction fuck our gains up. Anybody have any theories as to why this is happening

    Found some old Ripple

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 05:05 AM PST

Just found an old wallet fro 2014 with 7000 coins. Thinking of averaging up to 40k coins for a 6 month to year hold. I'd be happy if it went to .50 usd. I have been doing a little research, with the amount of coins outstanding even after the lockup is still significant. Do you guys really think this can go to $2.00 a coin?

Their team is very interesting, I wonder if this will be the only legit way for funds to get into crypto through ripple.

Is XRP a currency? No one spending or buying anything.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2017 11:32 AM PST

There have been some opportunities provided within the community to spend XRP on a variety of items - in effect to get XRP moving as a real currency in our day to day lives - yet the enthusiasm for this is low and projects quickly fade away.

What is the root cause of this? Are the projects not interesting enough? Is XRP simply a store of value rather than a real currency? Nobody wants to be the Bitcoin pizza guy?

I think something needs to change, I`m not sure how or what will drive it to do so. At the moment we risk becoming a slightly faster Bitcoin and with the hope that Ripple are able to capture the global financial institutions payment market rather than driving demand amongst ourselves.

What do you think needs to change and how do we get out of the Bitcoin "buy and hodl" mindset? Let's face it they have no other choice because anything else isn't viable, we do have a choice and we don't seem to be taking it.
