Is Ripple going to replace Paypal?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 01:16 PM PDT

I apologize if this sounds very dumb.

I've only discovered the crypto world a few months ago, and I spent the past three days doing some research about Ripple. There's a lot that I did not quite understand but what I grasped overall is that Ripple is an exchange system that is theoretically the fastest, cheapest and can process international payments (crypto and fiat). In addition, it is cooperating with banks like Santander and offering them that service.

The analogy in my head is that this is basically an online payment system like Paypal, except a lot better. If this gets more well-known, isn't this supposed to be a much better Paypal alternative?

(Question) Taking loans against your asset

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 05:05 PM PDT

I keep seeing people say that instead of trading into fiat that they'll take loans against their assets. How is this beneficial?

I know that you don't have to pay taxes on the loans so people mention it for that reason and so that they'll keep their crypto but you still need to pay them back Wouldnt you then need to liquidate your crypto to pay them back paying taxes and interest?
