3080 problems after changing thermal pads Posted: 23 Apr 2021 07:33 AM PDT Just replaced my thermal pads on my Gigabyte 3080 Gaming OC, and although the temps are a little better, it's performance is severely limited to ~45MH/s and when I do anything else like open a game the fans go 100% and the screen blacks. Has anybody encountered anything like this and if so, how did you tackle it? GPU-Z Screenshots while mining [link] [comments]

Does anyone know what CoinxHash is, I just got some message from them Posted: 23 Apr 2021 06:24 AM PDT so, I was in a discord server in order to be notified of gpu stock for a 3060ti, and then some random user named Alert messaged me claiming that I won a giveaway for some thing called CoinxHash, which is supposedly some crypto exchange, also I am unable to find any information on them online, so I assume it is likely a scam [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Apr 2021 08:09 PM PDT Have you guys seen the recent insane spike in profitability in RYO (and XWP and CCX)? Any idea if this will stick? I've switched to mining those for now just to see what happens. Side note: anyone know what overclock settings are best for mining RYO? Edit: Looks like it's over folks [link] [comments]

GPU no signal /isn't detected in device manager after one day of mining Posted: 23 Apr 2021 05:04 AM PDT Hello guys I really need help here because I think I f***ed up and I believe only experienced miners will be able to answer me and help me with this . OS : Windows 10 for the last 3 days I have been trying to setup my mining rig (first rig) , for the first setup actually I had 5x RTX 3060 Ti running , it started random rebooting only while mining , I thought it was a PSU issue and the five cards even though they were drawing an average of 120 W each , I removed two cards and setup all the rig again and this time making sure to have on riser only on each cable and one graphic on each 8pin , this time the computer ran for several hours (before that it was rebooting every half - an hour ) but then suddenly it rebooted again , it goes like this , some app crashes (not a specific one) then blue screen of death and the system restarts , I tried to run it for two or three times to try to diagnose what is causing windows to reboot but unfortunately I couldn't figure it out .last night the computer's display didn't work ( the display is connect to the RTX 3060 Ti on the primary PCI ) didn't pay much attention , today I tried to check it and it appears all my cards were working but the one connected to the PCI , tried to connect the card to another board , it turn the led light and the fans but it doesn't send any signal to display in addition to that the card can't be found in the device manager . is this the end of this card even though it didn't last for 48 hours ? and how can I make sure not to run into this issue again ? Posted: 23 Apr 2021 05:03 AM PDT About to get a 3060 and I was wondering how I can unlock the hashrate instead of the halving that Nvidia did? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Question about an article found on tom’s hardware Posted: 23 Apr 2021 04:47 AM PDT Here is the bit from this article « One big difference between NiceHash and your typical mining pool is that you need a separate Ethereum wallet to store your coins — you really don't want to just leave the coins with the pool indefinitely. While it's technically possible to have your coins transferred to somewhere like Coinbase, it's generally best not to have mining pool payouts go directly to a trading platform. We recommend setting up an online wallet, through a service like MyEtherWallet, and use that address for your pool payouts. » Why shouldn't I have my payouts go directly to a trading platform (like crypto.com for example)? 6 GPUs on extreme 4 black edition motherboard Posted: 22 Apr 2021 11:54 PM PDT Rampage 4 black edition motherboard***I am trying to get my sixth GPU working on my mining rig but no matter what configuration i try, along with other GPUs and risers that i know work, i can't get 6 GPUs to work on this motherboard. Everytime it gets stuck in a loop and the numbers on the board just keep changing, or sometimes it just gives me a pcie error. It has 6 pcie slots, 4 are 16x and the other 2 are 1x. Ive also tried plugging a pcie splitter into the bottom 16x and plugging 2 of the cards in there but that didn't work. as soon as i unplug a GPU it will work again. any ideas? am i limited to 5 gpus? https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-rampage-iv-republic-of-gamers-black-edition-motherboard-extended-atx-lga2011-socket-x79/ motherboard[link] [comments]
3 gpus low hash rate 1 gpu high Posted: 23 Apr 2021 02:18 AM PDT I have 4 amd 580 gpus that i recently set up and for some reason 1 is showing around 26 mh (as expected without any overclocking) while the other three are hovering around 8 mh. Any ideas for why this is happening? [link] [comments]
Finally changed the thermal pad to my 3090 gigabyte Posted: 23 Apr 2021 02:02 AM PDT I finally changed the pad on my gigabyte, before the change I couldn't reach more than 107 before it started to throttle.. I even used huge aluminum thermal heat sink without any luck. If you have a RTX gigabyte let me give you a tip don't spend money on fan heatsink etc.. it wont work go for the pads, even cheap one make a huge difference.. PS fuck you gigabyte and fuck you warranty [link] [comments]

GPU "boosting" down seemingy at random Posted: 23 Apr 2021 01:44 AM PDT I have a rig that consists of 1 R9 290X. Not a very good rig. Well well. Sometimes, the GPU decides that it will "boost" down to a little over 300 MHz core (when I've set it to 875 MHz core), giving me 3 MH/s instead of 10-11 MH/s, which means my earnings are three times as low as what they should be. Quite often, I'm home, so I can go into MSI Afterburner and adjust the clockspeeds (reset to defaults and then apply my OCs). That usually works. But when I'm not home, I have to see the GPU doing (almost) nothing, and I'm unable to do anything about it for several hours. Anyone got a clue why the GPU does this, and how I can prevent this as it really sucks? Advice appreciated! [link] [comments] |
